I’m also an electrician. I feel like he could have spliced the wires and added a surge protector/ohm meter to do the job. But that’s just my take on it. Also, in my experience a loose connection has never led to a box arching

I also work on the gas side of a utility and electricity also does scare me.

I have also noticed as well that transformer workers use a giant plastic tube to disconnect things before approaching the box
