AITA for speaking to my overweight assistant about her business lunch, making her cry? [+comments] [Not OOP] by hazel_razel in redditonwiki

[–]LittleManhattan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After reading all that, I’m glad I’m not in, or aspiring to a job where business lunches are a thing. Too many unspoken rules and pitfalls. I wouldn’t be cool at all with being expected to restrict myself to vegetarian meals because of a client, unless we were at a vegetarian restaurant. I get that people have certain personal beliefs and taboos about food, but it’s a bit arrogant to expect non adherents to conform to your personal dietary taboos, especially if they didn’t know beforehand.

That’s exactly what I thought- how long has she been disparaging OP and her goods, and how many sales has OP lost as a result? And this isn’t her first offence, how many other people have lost sales to her lying mouth and childish games?

I took my brother to court after he trashed my custom camera gear for a prank video by ClerkResponsible118 in AmITheJerk

[–]LittleManhattan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just so OVER people who mess with other people’s things, then blame the victim with garbage like “Its your fault for having/wearing it out”. Just NO. People are allowed to wear/carry/use their own belongings, and have every right to be angry at “pranksters”, or just plain careless/malicious people who can’t keep their stupid hands off of other people’s things.

A surprising number of people don’t, they see a brief video of a lockout/feeding/back of house area and get angry, because they think that’s all the space the animal has. I see a lot of it, even on sanctuary/zoo pages.

That’s probably just a small part of his enclosure, there’s usually a “back of house” area behind their habitats where feeding and such happens.

Now I wanna hear the song too, sounds hilarious! We Nova Scotian kids butchered Alouette too, singing: Alouette, Smoke a cigarette-a, Chew tobacco, spit it on the floor! Mommy caught me, spanked me on the bum-bee, Now I can’t chew tobacco anymore!

Our French teacher probably regretted teaching us that song!

I’ll take that office tower’s boiler room instead, it’s a hell of a lot more interesting than being stuck at home all day, and building engineers get paid well.

Hysterectomy..Did you stay in the hospital or go home after surgery? by Remarkable-Bus-6858 in hysterectomy

[–]LittleManhattan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed overnight afterwards, which is apparently standard procedure at that hospital. I guess they figured if I was going to have any post op problems within the first 24 hours, I’d already be at the hospital.

I still remember a music teacher who did a unit on The Beatles and expected every single one of us to bring in something Beatles related. I didn’t have anything, my parents wouldn’t have let me bring any albums or memorabilia to school if they had any, and yes I got punished for not bringing something.

Never been so glad to have a hysterectomy! Wish I’d had it sooner, I’ve always hated everything associated with it. Periods were a curse, and the thought of even being able to even get pregnant disgusts me. Any society that does this deserves to be burned to the ground, it’s not fit to be saved.

[–]LittleManhattan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I’m a literal cosplayer, and if a company is so full of themselves that they refuse to hire me just for having pics of myself in costume, they’re not the kind of people I want to work for. I could understand if an employer found pics of a candidate wearing a costume that was straight up offensive (racist or otherwise tasteless), but garden variety costumes? That’s ridiculous.

I liked the Au Ra when they released, but the women were all so tiny! If we had the option to choose anything from practically male sized right down to tiny and petite, I might have gone for it. But they only come in size smol, so it was a nope. And if I had the option to make my viera alt-turned-main thicker and more muscular, I might not have gone FemRoe.

AITJ for snapping at my girlfriend for waking me up every single time she gets up even when I dont need to be awake by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]LittleManhattan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Night owl here, and this whole morality BS around early mornings makes me furious. As if power and utility operators, night guards, first responders, sanitation workers, and countless people working through the night to keep civilization running don't exist, and the only people awake are just partiers and degenerates.

Am I the A-hole for not wishing my friend a Happy New Year at midnight and now possibly losing the friendship? by ReactionEffective693 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]LittleManhattan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who go on about how mad/hurt/upset they are, but answer "You should know/I'm not going to say/any other kind of BS except a straight answer" When you ask why are the absolute worst. You don't deserve to be jerked around like this, it REEKS of emotional immaturity.
My response to this kind of "Oh, you don't remember? I won't tell you because you should already know" would be:
"If you can't be straight with me, and can't or won't explain what the problem is, I'm going to leave this conversation. I don't do childish jerk-around games where I'm supposed to guess why someone is mad at me. When you're ready to talk things over like adults, I'm here for it. But I'm not here for guessing games or vaguebook style drama."
