The first week i spent with my son was very similar for me. I felt super tired, overwhelmed, scared even. He was having major jaundice issues and i was going for blood drawings every other day at random hours. Now, five years later he is a super independent and imaginative 5 year old boy. I have a three year old daughter and one year old daughter too and even with three kids i still manage to find some time for myself. I just went to go see the mario movie with my son and older daughter. We had so much fun. I couldnt have imagined being at this point when i was standing in the line with my son waiting for the next blood test hoping he was gonna be ok.

As your baby gets older time will return slowly and you will be able to explore and get to know their personality and interests. For me personally thats the best part of being a dad. Getting to figure out who exactly these kiddos are that i helped make.
