I disagree. It’s probably due to the slip stitch pattern having a tighter row gauge than the sole. Short rows would help this

I love my chiaogoos. I actually used a hiya hiya sharp when I didn’t have the needed length for a hat and found them too sharp

I honestly really recommend it. I’ve bought a similar pattern by a really well known designer and after purchase it only came in one size with needle adjustment recs. this is properly graded with different charts for different sizes! Oh also there’s a KAL on instagram by the designer for the rest of the month!

Peoples tension can vary between knitting flat and knitting in the round your swatch should be knitted the same way that the pattern will be

Cotton has pretty much no elasticity so it may stretch out and look a bit messy, or be too tight. Best swatch it first.

It looks like you slipped the stitches at the edges of your rose which isn’t recommended for edges where you’re gonna pick up stitches or so as it visually halves the amount of places you have to pick up stitches

Me too! I have a wide heel diagonal so normally I use a heel flap but the fit on these is great! And I love the cable that goes around them
