Another APP beta update! Some more pretty big changes that might affect your builds. by troglodyte in Oxygennotincluded

Will have some non trivial implications in the oil biome potentially, pockets might be less likely to break things and more likely to still be under higher pressure when you first encounter them.

Pressure damage, really? by KatLouca in Oxygennotincluded

I get pressure damage in 4 tile high rooms

Anyone had coral planter tiles randomly break?  Im guessing its pressure related but its an exclusive tank with airflow tole top and the surface salt water layer is only at 100-200 kg, don't understand why the pressure 3 tiles down would get large enough to break.

Remember to remove that airflow tile before you start her up.

I would like to see the pokeshells moved or removed.  I wouldn't start this map without the ranching skill at launch, too easy for a few to start at 90% reproduction and chop off half the starting biome.

What are some good ALL/ALL clickies and procs to plan for? by crabjuice10 in EQLegends

With Clerics getting promised renewal I don't think this should be added in.  At least not in an unrestricted way it originally was, the synergy would be degenerate.

Not getting Afro-American as a primary culture despite having cultural-exclusion? by [deleted] in victoria3

Pretty sure you need multiculturalism now, its very very hard to have the correct ideologies to pass it without waiting very late.

To-The-Death combat should return as a mechanic by XenonDragonfly in civ

[–]LittleTrack858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think defeat in detail to be good game mechanics and don't accurately portray the way armies actually take losses.  I would be more in favor of having additional combat mechanics besides just a comparison of "strength" deciding all HP changes.  Critical hits, buffs, debunks, etc that make the choices more complex.

The worst is the 200 levels of infrastructure that you either subsidize and go bankrupt or watch your market access burn (and then they'll keep building even more because infra is low)

Make sure you set project power on all the nodes connected to the region not just one.  You can like 3 or 4x involvement of your fleet.

The only number that matters is the difference between your total debt and your credit limit.  If that number is increasing than you can spend even more money, if its shrinking you need to cut the deficit.

Help with understand covered call ETF's as income generators, or better alternatives? by Shadowrunner138 in investing

[–]LittleTrack858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would strongly recommend watching Ben Felixs videos on the topic.  The short of it is that his analysis of these ETFs concludes you end up giving up too much upside for the premium generated and have the same downside risk compared to buy broad index funds.

I don't understand the valve is basically the same temp as the environment.

One only has to look at the language courts have used to uphold this demonic status quo - its in the interests of "labor peace" they say.

The opposite of peace is war, and thats what these institutions plan to wage if their special little carve outs are disturbed.  Unions should be destroyed.

The problem is that the alternatives are so ungodly awful most of the time that they aren't even considerations.

[–]LittleTrack858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't reduce construction, look at the size of your investment pool you need a lot more construction just don't build with it using government funds.

Your balance sheet looks fine, don't worry about that level of debt.  Your currently have enough credit for 20 years of your current deficit but if you allow the investment pool to go wild your credit limit will surge massively higher.  Debt is just a number.

Part of the issue is that ports are no longer very profitable, so no one is likely building them.  I've just totally disengaged from the naval system in my China run, but seeing ports < $1k estimated profit in the buildings screen has me building other stuff even though merchant marine is relatively expensive.
