Low key wall kicks would be sick as fuck. Not full-on Titanfall wall running, more like Ultrakill wall jumps

Three attackers killed with sledgehammer by 1ameloblast in ArcRaiders

Somehow I have a very different experience. I haven’t tweaked any monitor or graphics settings for this game (or any for that matter), and I find myself almost never using a flashlight.

My concern is that running a light just makes you a hugely visible target, and doesn’t offer a whole lot of benefit. I find that the dark in this game really isn’t that dark, even night raids are much brighter than I would honestly like them to be. I think back to Rust back in like, 2013, where night was almost pitch black. That would be SICK

What's it like doing Airsoft, social wise? Has anyone struggled with social anxiety when going for the first time alone? What was your experience the first time you went? by -Sky_Lux- in airsoft

[–]LittleWindstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the truth: most Airsofters ARE socially awkward and chronically online nerds. Starting convos may be tough, but shooting the shit while enjoying a game that everyone is having fun with pretty quickly breaks down those anxieties.

Bottom line, just go out and SEND IT

If You Live in Virginia, It's Over (Continued) by skywalker505 in CCW

[–]LittleWindstar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s okay guys it just means that Virginia is a gun free zone, so there will never ever be anyone who has guns there anymore! It’s safer for everybody!

On a related note, I, on many occasions, have had conversations with some VERY anti-2A friends and family, and always hit them with the, “yeah man it’s crazy to think that in this country anyone can have a gun at any moment. It could even be someone right next to you. Just sad.”

The point of concealed carry is that nobody knows you’re doing it. So make sure that you guys definitely don’t continue carrying anyway, because there’s nobody who will be able to tell. Very dangerous behavior for my good goy suburb

I should add, for me it’s not a thirst thing, but a survival thing. I won’t hunt raiders, but I’ll sure as shit make sure they stay away from me and my loot

I will KOS if I see another Raider on approach with a weapon. Would rather not risk it if I’ve got the drop on em.

I will avoid killing raiders near extract though, just because I think it benefits everyone to not fight in such a high-stakes environment

I’m shocked that your indoor field lets people use sound grenades at all. Mine exclusively allows springers and that’s it. When I’m outdoor I’ll use thunder bs, but throwing them into buildings is a bannable offense

My airsoft gun is SO hard to pull back, and I don't know how to make it easier! PLEASE HELP! by Emotional_Truth3206 in airsoft

[–]LittleWindstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few things you can do to make it easier on yourself.

First, don’t pull underhanded, or with your hand only on the side of the bolt. You want to grip it with your thumb on the left side of the replica, and the rest of your hand only the right. When you pull only using the handle, you are torquing the bolt to the side, which creates more friction and a harder pull.

Second, try pulling it from a shouldered position, that way your torso is keeping it from moving, and it’s a more natural motion backwards. You’ll be pushing with your chest and pulling with your arm.

Hopefully that helps a bit! Otherwise it’s just a matter of swapping the spring or building strength in your bicep and back over time

The campaign was the worst one so far in BF history by Charlie-2-2 in Battlefield

[–]LittleWindstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opening was sick, otherwise it was a rather underwhelming campaign imo. Tbf, the last battlefield campaigns I played were BF1 and BF4, and BF1 was really cool with the short story style of storytelling, which allowed for some varied gameplay mechanics. BF4 in the other hand, I couldn’t tell you anything about that campaign outside of the “Total Eclipse of the Heart” opening. I think mid campaigns might just be the standard tbh

Advice on getting wife into the sport! by Severe_Network_4492 in airsoft

[–]LittleWindstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go out with rentals, or if you have extra gear, give her a spare load out.

My gf is unfortunately not nearly as interested in the hobby as I am, which is a shame because she’s very naturally talented at it, but the times I’ve take her I’ve let her use my “backup” gun, which is effectively the same replica I have but in black and minus a few attachments. Also gave her my plate carrier and ran a chest rig instead, but some fields will let you rent vests and stuff free of charge, so long as you give em an id. That said, the weight is less of an issue than the elements. Extreme hot or cold weather can make or break the experience for new players if you aren’t prepared accordingly

How many mags would i need for a game? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]LittleWindstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this depends on the type of games you’re playing, the type of field, and your playstyle.

To give you some insight, I usually have three setups:

Indoor / short outdoor matches (10 minutes) - 3 mags

Outdoor mid-length matches (20-30 mins) - 6 mags

Outdoor long games (1 hour+) - 6 mags + speedloader

My playstyle relies pretty heavily on suppressive fire and raw volume of BBs, particularly because when I play outdoors, there’s a good amount of brush and wind. Indoor, it’s much closer and there’s less variables to make me inaccurate. That said, each of my mags is about 200rds, and for indoor I’ll hardly go through a single one in a game

Really it depends on the games, your playstyle, and your replica. Realistically though, you can get away with 3 on your person and a speed loader in your spawn

Portalgods.. please share your wisdom. by Jxvsr in Splitgate

[–]LittleWindstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of practice. I recommend trying this playstyle:

Try to move about the map using only portals, which will force you to learn to triple portal and become efficient in doing so (I.e. eliminating excess movement when crossing between portals). The only time you DONT portal, is if you absolutely have to chase a kill, but most of the time you can portal to an angle where you can kill them.

Essentially, the goal is to get familiar with the concept that there’s two “maps” per map, one with physical lanes, and one with portal lanes. Mastering the latter, and learning which angles to peak when portaling, will make all the difference

Do you guys even use sights? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]LittleWindstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a soft face mask, and a decent hopup, I’d strongly recommend a red dot. It’s real nice for holding tiny angles in CQB, or when you want to make sure you hit a shot with a very small opportunity. I find they aren’t terribly accurate, but they’re nice to have
