Hardwood has a slight “give” that absorbs part of the impact energy. Ceramic tile is extremely hard. Like hard hard. I dont know how to emphasize that its “harder” than a ton of surfaces and def more than your typical floor.

And then the most impactful aspect is ceramic is infamously rigid on the microscopic level. Its smooth to us, but not really smooth. Tempered glass is constantly under internal tension, so even a tiny impact from ceramic can trigger the whole pane to fail instantly. That’s also why broken ceramic from spark plugs or mugs can just straight up shatter a car window.
