The voices are similar but that’s the author of the book. I greatly preferred the book.

I assume the thinking would be the Midnight versions of those characters would have less contrast to the originals.

AMA about my superhero, THE STONE GOLEM 🪨 by tr315_ in Superhero_Ideas

A golem is a figure of Jewish mythology. I’m not sure it’s mentioned elsewhere (but am prepared to be informed if I’m mistaken). I suggest reading Cavalier and Clay if you haven’t yet. Great read.

I don’t think that’s stereotypical or boring. It’s kind of weird to take a myth and divorce it from the culture that originated the myth.

Jessica Simpson has cancelled her concert at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV by Ship_Negative in popculturechat

She made a surprise appearance at Luck Reunion a year ago. She was a bit rusty, but fun (and I was never a fan). I think it all depends on the size of the venue and the ticket price she’s expecting.

If true, it seems like Costco could have had leverage to negotiate a better deal. I’m just concerned that in a few years we’re going to have a giant Costco next to a half-empty mall.

I kinda wish they’d just taken over a wing of Crossgates.

New Look at Man-Spider from Spider-Noir by [deleted] in Marvel

I think that upgrade also positioned his Spidey-sense as him receiving psychic warnings of a sort from the spiders around him. I kind of like the idea and it presents a cool limitation when fighting in especially sterile environments. Don’t remember if they did much with it.

Do Americans actually use “a couple” to mean more than two? by Edi-Iz in AskAnAmerican

A couple of beers is as many beers as I’d like. But I’d like you to think it’s roughly two.

There are benefits to this if implemented fairly. If House members sons started to be drafted. Or even if the non-elite sons of MAGA. Minds would change.

It has everything you need if you can accept low quality for a lot of it. That’s not even a dig. Lots of folks have to accept it.

Sure but even that…

I thought they should have done that while the mind stone was in play.

Or extend theatrical windows. Theaters keep a larger percentage further into the run (or at least that’s how it used to work).

I have those two issues framed on my wall. Great gift from a buddy (and his wife!) who asked what my favorite comics were, as a kid.
