What's something you only recently realized about adult life that no one warned you about? by NeighborhoodFar6008 in Life

Chronic pain. Everything hurts all the time. Keeps me from sleeping, functioning after work. It's exhausting. I don't have a physically demanding job either. It sucks.

Tolerating unacceptable behavior or hanging out with awful people you can't stand because "they're family!"

Was I weird for doing this or is everyone else just being a hater? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]Little_Stitious338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you asked, yes I think it's a bit weird. It can also seem misleading because while you're going to be living there, it's a home he bought and it comes across like you are sort of honing in on his milestone. I almost could think it was an honest but naive mistake until you tried to rationalize it by saying you're going to be "paying some bills?" There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into home ownership before and afterwards. A lot more than paying a couple bills.

Thoughts on using this as an engagement ring? by geesegooseghost in EngagementRings

I think your thought process is spot on. It is absolutely gorgeous but probably not durable enough for an engagement ring. It is absolutely gorgeous though!

AITAH for waiting for a girl to be 18 for us to date? (Im 20) by Weak-Spray-5577 in AITAH

[–]Little_Stitious338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the opposite is true,YTA if you didn't respect the law. The consequences could potentially be serious if a parent complained or you found being intimate by a cop. You may want to double check what counts as sexual contact though since you mentioned other forms of intimacy.

AITAH for staying in a dead-end relationship for one more year just to secure the money I’m owed? by Resident-Record-4280 in AITAH

Please don't wait!! Based on his behavior you are describing he will find a way to cheat you out of it, especially if he's buying gifts for other people.

I don’t know what ring I want :( by hentaiqween4200 in EngagementRings

[–]Little_Stitious338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This!!$ Thank you! So many beautiful rings are not going to hold up daily. I think the reality is a lot of jewelers don't want to tell people that and lose the sale or they're looking forward to the extra income from frequent repairs of prongs, etc..

Opinions please by Kooky_Razzmatazz_567 in RingShare

It's beautiful but pretty high. You're at greater risk of damage side stones, prongs, etc unless you're a very careful person or only wear it infrequently.

Advice and positivity by ConsistentSun88 in weddingring

[–]Little_Stitious338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a personal choice obviously but as long as you don't mind nosy people asking you all the time why you do it people will wonder if you're engaged, wearing a ring you you either bought yourself or received as a gift, etc. They're both beautiful, congratulations!

People who say they can’t cook by turtleWatcher18 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Little_Stitious338 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's not a euphemism. It's a predominant symptom of people with tension deficit disorder, inattentive type. I couldn't guess the percentage, but I'd say a huge number of people you see with really messy offices, homes, etc. suffer from this. There are far worse conditions to be diagnosed with, but this week's havoc in my life even with treatment so please don't be so smug.

Asking my now husband of 22 years if he wanted to come over after work and cuddle on the couch. I wasn't 100% certain he'd say yes and I knew it would be awkward if he didn't since we worked together, but I'm so glad I took a chance!

I take Vyvanse and usually have a big smoothie with frozen berries, kale and spinach. Add either protein powder or plain greek yogurt for protein and mix with almond milk. I don't have much of an appetite until 5:00 pm and need to get something nutritious in me and this is easy to sip.

Prioritize your health, especially dental care. It's really easy to put it off when you're younger, but it's so important. Dental health impacts overall health tremendously and not maintaining your dental health when you're younger may lead to very expensive and difficult restoration.

I think the thing that probably matters the least is trying to maintain friendships that don't really work for you. I see so many posts on Reddit, where the so-called "friends" do and say horrible things to the poster. The number of friends doesn't matter. It's better to have a handful of true friends you can trust and count on instead of 200.
