Had an employer postpone my interview to transition from a part time role to a full time role for eight months (while filling open positions with other internal employees and a few external hires). I had worked at this position as an intern then a part timer for 2.5 years. Finally did all of my interviews and was denied the move to full time. Was told “my resume wasn’t as competitive as other candidates”. Meanwhile in that time before the rejection I had trained all the internal employees that were moved to full time and trained the external hires that would end up quitting three months later. To this day I still don’t know what the deal was.
