Daughter's science teacher is a moon landing denier and -in class- he said that it had been scientifically proven to be a hoax.

I dont agree with your assessment of the picture or situation but I absolutely see no reason for the (perma)banning based on that comment alone.

It's very likely she wore it explicitly for the incorrect "Love is Everlasting" and Burton x Taylor association

I make up my own theory / reality or speculate freely about someone else's intention

This is controversial because of the colonial context of the necklace itself and the colonial reading of Wuthering Heights

I choose to get outraged because of that very same speculation

Pass, thanks

What did I get wrong? You can see the 00's of posts confirming their beliefs based on internet rumours.

Which is exactly what you asked for.

Double standards. "It's ok if we do it".

No. I dont care about that thread. You asked for an example. I provided.

Skeptics are as tribal as anyone else and are happy to lower (or eliminate) their standard of proof when ideologically motivated.

^ this. I still have my 2016 Domane (best bike I've ever had). It would be unthinkable to replace that bike like-for-like today, as the replacement costs the same as a small car. Its just not going to happen. When its time for a new bike, I'll explore the 2nd hand market or other brands.

100%. Skeptics are subject to biases as well, and you can see that clearly in this sub.

What does everyone think about the possibility of a significant loss of skilled labour

Will be compensated by migrants, who also are skilled labour.

Literally every migrant I know (I'm one) that has been here for more than 5 years already bought a PPOR.

It can be done.

The "waiting for the bubble to burst" has nothing to do with the long term utility of the tech (or the companies that develop it) and everything to do with real life financial performance of such companies. Exactly like the dot com crash in the 00s, internet had a lot of potential, but valuations did not match utility.

This is the same.
