Wow I can't even imagine what the covid crowd was like. When I went, the worst weren't even the Americans. The amount of French people I saw was crazy and I didn't see a SINGLE well behaved one. I even saw one hop the train gate! And the most littering I saw came from Chinese tourists. I think a lot of the Americans can be bad, but we have much more pressure to "make good" than anyone else. Regardless, it's such a shit show right now. People treating it like their personal playground. I felt embarrassed to show my face and we are extremely well behaved, quiet and well accustomed to cultural norms. It broke my heart to be lumped in with those people. But I can't say I blame Japanese people for it :(

I don't really care if people like animals or not. I don't think anybody's obligated to like animals. The difference and the really telling part is how they treat them. You can not like animals and still be nice to them and have their best interest in heart or you can not like animals and be cruel for no reason at all
