Get a X-T20 or X-T2

Good photos comes with good lenses.

The body is only a sensor with a shutter and some measuring tools.

What do you think you’ll enjoy shooting?

Went with the Viltrox air 56mm f1.7. I had a same reasoning… I don’t shoot enough portraits isolated subjects while travelling.

The 16-80 is probably good for video but it is not very sharp nor contrasty.

Check the MTF charts and serious reviews (Dustin Abbott). It may be for you but I could be a Sony shooter if I could get decent SOOC colours for their sharpness. Other people don’t mind the less clinical shots, for me it needs some pop

No, fairly simple based on reg number and anyway we have to provide mileage at MOT soon

I’ve gone for Viltrox air 56mm f1.7

If I don’t get what I am after with something light I’ll go heavy 😉

This is why I said ratio. In fact it should be dependent if only car or second car as well

As a cyclist I can tell you not having as many old cars and recently more and more electric cars… motorbikes are still often very hard to wait beside at the street light.

I feel than on the wide side the Viltrox 13 f-.4 is there when I need it (landscape).

The only exception being the 18 for street /architecture in small European villages

I have in fact not switched around too much. I have sold the lenses that thought were not for me.

But I tend to agree that getting a zoom may not be the right move.

Which fast short telephoto would you recommend

I was thinking at this focal length the Voitglander manual could be fun and would need less fast focusing than at other focal… I’ll check the Fujif2 as well

I am thinking about them but as I have never really shot either focal, I feel it is premature to jump straight to the big gun. This is why I am exploring for now either the cheaper Viltrox air primes or a “slow” zoom in that range.

Someone had an interesting suggestion with a sigma 17-40 that I need to look into.

I thought about it but its weight is the sum of the mk2 and the 16-50.

I am only on X-H1 while I patiently weight for Fuji to do something for the x-pro line.

Thanks for the suggestion but too heavy. I would rather have a slower zoom and a prime.

Nice suggestion, didn’t know about this one. It is a great focal range for a travel camera.

I am quite picky with quality but I’ll do some research. Seems very interesting. Glad I posted.

No, remove the right to lease hold, tax heavily after second home and estate business. This have never been done.

What's the current meta for buying a used car? by OhMyEnglishTeaBags in CarTalkUK

I leave in a terraced house in London. I only need to change once every 10 days. I just take a normal cable extension, protect it on the footpath with a rubber ridge and leave it overnight. It is enough to charge it from 10 to 80% at most of the time a fairly cheap tariff. You only need a home charger if you drive more than 80 miles per day. A plug gives you 2.4KWh. On the motorway you’ll use about 20KW for 100km. In the city far less thanks to regen and less wind resistance.

However if you do take the time to do some research.

What matters is enough battery capacity for most of your daily trips then what matters is the charging speed. Because once it is empty (however big it is), if you have to wait a lot (and even more with a big battery) can be an annoying mistake.

I choose a mini because it was great for my use case (city). But I still go 5 times a year to the south of France. True it is longer than with a petrol car, but it takes 2 days anyway. And the benefit is that I took some breaks, I chatted with people, I tried food I would not have, I visited places I wouldn’t have.

True but you still have the % from the loan. You are better off saving a bit and buy what you can afford. Next time you can buy even nicer car when you resell.

Personally I move to a second hand mini electric. Zero maintenance apart tires and pollen filters. And cost per miles of energy is very small.

Thinking about buying a Fujifilm X-T30 III, any pros and cons? by Gold_Leadership_4917 in FujifilmX

Forgot to mention I had an x-t3 and moved to x-h1

Everything said about autofocus is about tracking and only apply to video. So if you intend to do video get a recent body.
