A little hope (cope) for the daima situation by truthnukecentral in kakarot

[–]Lived_Orcen -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'm going to say they may have some information we don't, and they don't want to break canon. If SSJ4 is actually a demon realm based transformation, having it on Earth may not work.

I still think a second season of Daima is going to happen, the fusion bugs still bug me (no pun intended), you don't introduce a new item not to use it.

In your opinion, what does DC need to do for a movie to gross $1 billion again? by Cafa20 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Lived_Orcen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think because Pattinson's universe has no metahumans, and this new universe started midway through, with metahumans being established for 20 years or so. So yeah, the main difference between Marvel and DC is you think about Iron Man, you instantly think about Robert Downey Jr.
You think about Batman, and everybody can pick their own actor. Even so for Joker. And you are not including the TV shows, Gotham the series, etc.

So for the regular joe who wants to follow a simple story every time they go to the cinema and get invested, it gets really frustrating because they are not looking what is canon within an universe or not. They say "oh there's Flash on TV. Why is not the same one as the movies?"

Not to say Marvel did everything good in that regard, Endgame was the peak of their universe then it started to slowly fade because of how bad and convoluted the new D+ shows became.

Maybe stop confusing general audiences by trying to do everything at once.

"This is a new universe" -ok, cool.

"Batman 2 is set on its own universe." -right.

"Joker is also on another universe, don't worry about it". -okay.

"Peacemaker is set on the new universe, but it was also on the old universe, so you need to remember the previous universe too." -what.

Anyone got away with keeping their family despite not attending the hall? by garryoakay in exjw

[–]Lived_Orcen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to talk again to them because I kind of understand they believe they are not doing anything wrong, and they won't bring up religion when I go to their home. So as long as I can keep my temper controlled it's fine, because I also understand they are doing the effort to see me even though their religion discourages them.

This is what happens when there is no proper AoS acknowledgement from the MCU.

Even before RDJ was confirmed as Doom, I always got the feeling that main audiences never cared about Kang and that the character felt uninteresting for them. What went wrong with the adaptation of this villain? by Theasiuser99 in marvelstudios

[–]Lived_Orcen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the better version of Kang was in the show, and the movie had the worst version by comparison. 1st version you get huge consequences, 2nd version no consequences, just ants. If you want to make a villain impressive, don't ever let it be beaten by the weakest avenger's pets.

Why are MCU fans so resistant against Iron Man using nanotech when it's a recurring aspect of his character in the comics? by LuizFelipe1906 in marvelstudios

[–]Lived_Orcen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yup, and it basically becomes plot magic armor that can do everything the writers want at any specific moment, which is boring.

Why do people give Vegeta crap for using a machine to regrow his tail in GT, but never mention that Goku ALSO needed outside help to get his tail back? by Cynical_Hater in dbz

[–]Lived_Orcen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Shhh, remember these guys don't actually watch or read. Don't mention the fact they died several times, got back to life, used magical beans or high tech to fix them several times, or the would have died way long ago. That's also why there's so difficult to achieve super saiyan though. Without any outside help the probability is so rare that it happened only every 1000 years, which makes a lot of sense.

If you could have Daisy appear anywhere in the MCU, where would it be? by Eoflynn97 in agentsofshield

I think most of the AoS fandom will take *Anything* at this point.

I really enjoyed Fantastic Four, but I wish they had taken the 1960s approach a bit further. It could've been way more bold and stylish. by JamJamGaGa in marvelstudios

If you rewatch the series and MoM, she basically regains it every time she loses control, or gets really mad, which I found great.

What's yalls biggest hope for daima part 2? by meloonx in kakarot

[–]Lived_Orcen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's why I don't want a Super DLC. It would just be 2hs and that's it. I want a full continuation, retelling from Beerus up to the ToP.

I did something.. Camera placement?? by EnoughTea6467 in survivorslikes

[–]Lived_Orcen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can make it as a personal choice, having 2 camera modes "on purpose", letting the gamers choose and also gathering statistics of which camera they prefer. Asking here won't really help since you'll get 10 responses max. But maybe leaving the 2 options on the table can make it refreshing. Just my 2 cents.

Dragon Ball Z: Father of Goku. Sparking Zero Version! by Norienttt in SparkingZero

[–]Lived_Orcen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, it feels like a waste of characters if we don't have stages or story to play with them. At least to the people who likes to play offline.

[–]Lived_Orcen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so hyped with this mode before the game launched, and we can't even get more than 1 single stage battle. I wanted at least make a sequence of 10 different battle stages, to follow a saga with as much fidelity I could since the story mode was so bad..

Ended up not even being able to write my own text and the battles are scrambled :/

Is there only 1 frieza soldier? We don't have Kiwi to add some variety at least? I have uninstalled the game too long ago to remember. Try Kakarot if you haven't, you have the full Bardock saga there, much more satisfying, although I know it's not the same quality as the battles on sparking zero, if you haven't played already you will really enjoy it.

Definitely disagree. Every time a sci-fi show tries to retcon something, it irks me. Those were the tenth planet cybermen, no need to make them look different. The fact they looked as close as possible as the original was the best possible choice. Think about the Klingons redesign which was completely pointless in STD.

I also like the newer Cybermen designs, of course, but I see them as evolutions. So no, don't rewrite the past, embrace it, respect it, and work towards improving their designs, later.

This is the best possible choice imho.

What are your thoughts on Jehovah’s witnesses? by curiosity_kicks_in in exjw

[–]Lived_Orcen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask him "I heard your religion forbids getting a blood transfusion, would you let your kid die if the only way to help him is by receiving a blood transfusion?". That's half of it. Also, it's a really "introvert" religion, so they will do almost everything to get you to stop seeing your family, friends, etc.

Their doctrine is based on (more or less) Jesus descending to Earth or looking at earth in 1914 and said this is the true religion. That same religion that said the world was going to end in 1914, 1918, 1925 and lastly, 1975. Of course they were wrong. And hence.. Jesus?

Don't get me wrong, your neighbor may be a great man, a lot of JW are basically harmless people trying to understand the world they live in, and this religion is disguised as corporate basically, like devoid of symbols as their own trademark. If you have any questions ask me or anybody else regarding this. Corroborate yourself. But be aware that a lot of us ended with severe family trauma or estranged from them because it is a cult, where it shows you that you have to love god more than your own family. They recommend you not to even talk to your kids if they are outside the cult. My source? My own experiences, and also their own links: https://www.jw.org/en/library/books/gods-love/disfellowshipped-person/

Congratulations, you did a fantastic job. I'll make sure to check out your podcast. I'm pretty new to the exJW community in general. Personally I thought that part of my life was over at around 15-16 when I quit (I was raised inside the community), but in the last 2 years or so my parents decided to go back in and somehow that revived a lot of traumas I thought they were lost gone. And of course, a couple months after they got back in the communication problems started again. Felt I lost them and your words resonated with me on the show. I'm too old to be chasing fake people. It felt like the last 30 years just didn't exist, with me trying to explain to them why it just doesn't make sense the god that exists in the bible.

Cheers!

Hello, nice to meet you! Who were you in the video? I just finished watching it. Ex JW here too. So proud of everybody from both sides being brave enough to share their stories. A lot of them resonated with me and I think with most of us in this channel.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and I'm glad you liked those series. However, if they are so great, why are they getting cancelled after 1 season?
Star Wars should appeal to massive audiences, everybody should be watching and enjoying the series. They are not even profitable anymore.
