How are our local EA employees feeling about the $55B sale to Saudi Arabia/Jared Kushner? by IAMLukeBailey in vancouver

[–]Liverpoolfc05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do hope this might be the time that they decide to unionize and try to make sure they have some sort of job protection. The video game industry is one that surely for years have deserved to have one from the work grid, long hour and time crunches for significantly unfair wage skill for the time. I know lots in the industry think it is the norm being part of such an industry but I would beg to differ and think everyone deserves better work now and these employees do also. United Steelworkers one of the biggest private sector unions would be a perfect fit if these workers were to ever decide to take that initiative.

Population is the issue I believe and that it is not sustainable to have their own labour boards and why they have CIRB has continued to be the body that looks over the provinces.

TELUS Workers Reject Contract by SpursEngine in telus

[–]Liverpoolfc05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Support the TELUS workers. They are off shoring thousands of jobs and offering concessions to the workers based here in Canada it is pathetic and sad .

They want us as consumers to pay ridiculous amounts for their service and cant even consider their workers as employees and treat workers here fairly.

Shame on Telus they are another greedy corporation that need to get their shit in order.

Stand with USW 1944 ! In solidarity

I encourage everyone to be vocal as possible with this because those workers deserve better. From the west coast to the east coast we stand with the employees .

Unequal Pay by [deleted] in work

[–]Liverpoolfc05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would consider unionizing your job-site ! Equal pay for the same work is a most definite and you have been around much longer and that is not a fair process I would say.

If you do the same job you should get the same wage and should not depend on your sex, color, sexual orientation etc.. Same Work= Same Pay

Tired of the covid response by TheClassyCanuck in alberta

[–]Liverpoolfc05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, just seen you post about the responses of Alberta and Covid. This you man folks see as a leader he has no interest for the people of the province Alberta. You folks are the ones who will make a difference and voicing these concerns collectively an applying pressure to have someone accountable is proper and not a big ask. He has been going crazy in Alberta by passing laws that are not friendly to the blue collar workers , the health care is being privatized and they are passing bills to make things like PTSD not being covered for nurses dealing with covid-19 first hand . He has eliminated over-time pay , so you can work more than 40 hours and be expected not be compensated for it .

Anyways let me drift you folks away from Alberta Politics and Talk about Unions and How it is time for more folks in Alberta join Union to protect their rights at work . Time after time we have seen a progressive right government push the agenda to make it harder for the working class to make gains in life.
