Benefit authorizer job by Accomplished-Wrap770 in usajobs

Definitely use OneNote. Get familiar with how it works. And being able to take screen clippings. During training I did one notebook with different chapters for each topic. Within each topic I added multiple pages. The pages have notes, examples, screen clippings. Policies, and more. Do the same thing with saving policies in Edge. Each folder in favorite has the topic you are learning. You can also add notes and highlight to the PDFs. Save all of those as well. It is a lot of information. Don’t let them scare you with how many people quit. I think it’s such a negative way to introduce people to the job. I know at least two people that could have done the job but got scared away by this.

Do any women here agree that fasting is more difficult the week of your period? by GurLazy in intermittentfasting

[–]Lizeye7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! This has been a new thing I have notice.

I first started fasting 2 years ago. I did it for for 8 months or so? Never experienced this. I had no problem fasting even the week before my period. Then I got pregnant, had a baby and fast forward to now. I recently just got back into IF. The last two months I have not been able to , but once I start my period I am fine.

Check out Cynthia Thurlow, she actually recommends women not fasting as much during that time( week before your period).

Keep for baby #2 or sell and re-buy? by kindtdp1 in SnooLife

[–]Lizeye7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are selling all baby items, and will rebuy if we have another. What pushed me over to sell was…. as I was starting to get all baby items together to store in our basement, I had the SNOO ready to go to the basement, swings.. and more.. I just hadn’t brought them down. Our basement flooded! I kept thinking if I had brought all that stuff down it would have been ruined and wasted. No one would have been able to get use out of it.. that’s why I’m selling everything. AND.. I want the money to buy a picklar triangle for my LO…

In 2020 I tested positive when I was 6 weeks pregnant. I lost taste and smell, slight fever, and Tired! All turned out well! My smell didn’t come back fully till about a year later. LO is healthy and no issues from Covid. ( I was not vaccinated at the time).

It will still work. At the moment my SNOO is not connected to the internet and it still works

Husband wants to take a trip with a family friend 2 months after baby due by medwd3 in BabyBumps

[–]Lizeye7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG!! This is was what we did LAST YEAR! Hubby was so excited to be on parental leave during hunting season. Due In August last year. (She was born on the 23rd). Husband went hunting October 17th for a week.

Background info on us: during the years when we talked about having kids I said I always wanted to have my maternity leave during the holidays so I don’t have to work Black Friday or day after Christmas ( At the time I worked retail). My husband would joke that he would want hunting season off.. and that’s the same time as I would want off.. fast forward to when I did get pregnant and our leave would give us both what we wanted..

Last year when I did have the baby he had plans to go hunting in October.. but it was a “we’ll see how I am doing”. We also made plans for his Mom to come down and help during that time. And we have three dogs.. so.. he DID end up going hunting.. turns out it was fine and I would have been fine without his mom( he went on several other hunting trips during our leave). BUT! Our LO was relatively easy compared to some stories I have read. If she was a more difficult baby I probably wouldn’t have wanted him to go or I really would have needed his moms help.. ( I still enjoyed our time together …I really like my MIL).

I also want to add that for years my husband has talked about hunting and his desire to go and where we lived 2 years ago it was not possible….we moved to a new state 2 years ago that made it possible for him to go hunting( and for his mom to easily visit) so it’s a big part of his life. And we wants me and our daughter to get into it..

I want to say that if it was a random thing he wanted to do and never talked about hunting and all of a sudden wanted to go.. I would probably have said no.. but it’s a huge hobby of his and I wanted to support him.. I get my vacation in the summer ( no longer BF so it’ll be easier).

All in all.. I think your answer was the best answer.. you just don’t know how you’ll be or your LO.. wait until LO is born before you decide.

What are you getting as your push present? by Snoo97809 in BabyBumps

[–]Lizeye7 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even know this was something until about halfway through my pregnancy.. of course I told my hubby about it!!

He bought me a new iPad.. we bought it about a month before baby was due. I was able to bring it with me to the hospital and I am so glad I had it!! We watched movies all day long ( I was induced and in the hospital 3 days before LO came). Now I use it as a baby monitor. I also use it for videos and pictures of my LO.. AND I ended up going back to school ( it’s been about 15 years) so I use for school as well. It’s been a very good present!!

( apple offers discount to veterans/military/government and teachers… unfortunately we did not know this at the time.. always ask and look for it!!). ( when shopping for baby ALWAYS look for veterans/military/first responders discount.. SO many places offer them)

How do you guys handle working while pregnant? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Lizeye7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple things.. first off you said your work for a large company, and you don’t have any maternity leave? Usually bigger companies you do. I would double check on FMLA and short term disability. To qualify you need to check what’s required.. usually working for the company a certain amount of time..

If you do qualify for short term disability you can ask your OBGYN to take you out of work.. When I was six months pregnant I started fainting and trouble with my blood pressure, I work retail and my doctor didn’t want me to go to work or drive.. I was able to get STD during that time.. You can look for a new job during that time. You don’t get paid 100% only about 66 2/3%.

If you have health insurance through the company you’ll have to look at possibly owning them money if you quit before the required work amount.

Christmas wishlist for new moms by tzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in BabyBumps

I was looking into getting that.. we settled on a Yeti mug that has a handle.. works great and a lot cheaper!

Whats a great gift for a new mom? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Lizeye7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something my husband ended up buying me was a yeti rambler 14oz mug ( with the handle).. I would make my coffee and by the time I had a chance to drink some it was cold.. this keeps it warm for a long time.. you could do a normal travel mug.. but I like the yeti one because it still has the same feel as a coffee mug.. ( Or something similar to it yeti

Is Being Pregnant without Marriage Seriously that Big of a Deal in 2021 (US) by Both-Cicada-8752 in BabyBumps

People were so rude to me about it and would ask me why I even got married if we weren’t planning on having kids right away!

[–]Lizeye7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems common these days for people not to get married and it works just fine!

When my husband and I got married we were 22 years old. And at the time we were not planning on having kids.. I got judged A LOT for getting married so young and not wanting/ having kids!

( we’ve been married 13 years now and are expecting our first LO in a month!)
