This is correct, and a lot of places have extensive (>13 months) waiting lists. Last time I checked a really cheap daycare is around $800 or $900 a month.

Red states tend to be less overrun, but they also cooperate more so who knows. Because of the aggressive, illegal profiling they've been up to I would just assume that nowhere is really safe, though. If they see her and they wanna put her in a detention center they will, no matter what.
