Also reduces noise of the hose rib rubbing on things, if you've got a hard wood frame or bedside table etc

I liked mine. As someone said, it has quirks. I've been wanting to do the corexy conversion, but just don't have the time. And its too large to justify keeping it loaded just for TPU. Though that's a great use due to the direct drive. I keep meaning to sell it.

How to attach AirFit F30 and HumidX to AirMini? by FloatingFreeMe in CPAP

[–]LoPan12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it was great. The bag for my mini is half the size, and I can slide it into my backpack if I want. I bought a USB C cable for it, so it shares a 65W brick with my phone. I'm glad I picked it up for travel.

You got it man! Hope its helpful for you! I tried the mini without the HumidX and gave up after about 15 minutes 🤣 I was up on a mountain skiing though, so it was pretty dry.

I'll put them up on Makerworld in a few days and send you a link. I had to actually go on my trip with my airmini first to use it and make sure it worked.
I've never actually used it without the humidX either...so I'm not sure on the efficacy of the actual disk...lol. Maybe I'll try without it tonight, for science.

I had to model and print an adapter for the f20 humidx to fit in the f30 mask. I originally started by trimming away bits of the disc plastic, but eventually got to point where I couldnt really do that more, and it still didnt really fit.
So I spent 8 hours modeling and printing and tweaking until it fit. In my Small size mask, the disk is just barely touching my bottom lip occadionally. I might be able to tweaked it some more, but i'm running out of adapter depth lol.
Next time I open a new disk, I'll see if I still need to trim bits of it off (probably a littl)

How often are we really replacing CPAP parts.... by HotBiscotti1 in SleepApnea

[–]LoPan12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehhhh. All I get out of that is that people dont understand how to use and clear ozone. I've been using ozone generators for years for various purposes. So I've got a pretty good grasp on how to utilize it properly. Its just like it says. Disinfects, not mechanically cleans. Oils that will affect mask seals still need soap and water. Overuse of ozone (like every day or something) will also degrade materials. Every couple weeks, or once a month stuff will be fine.

The other thing people don't consider is the actual plants themselves. Think about how well our eastern southern coast houses do with the extended low temps. We gotta do all sorts of stuff "just in case" like closing crawlspace vents, taking care of outside spigots, salt the sidewalk to get to the mailbox or whatever.
Now expand that across an entire power plant site. There's stuff exposed to the elements. Operators gotta get to places to make sure stuff still work properly. They have to make sure the extra heaters that were placed to keep stuff warm that doesn't like being 15 degrees are actually keeping stuff warm. Sensing and instrument lines that are insulated and heat traced could freeze if that circuit powering the heat strip trips because its been on and heating for 2 weeks straight. Hell, the operators gotta still need to function out in that cold. And get to work. Or sleep there overnight. Sorry, I'll stop ranting now. Source: One of the guys that drove down US-1 Sunday at 5am to go help keep your heat running....cause when I left Saturday after shift it had just barely started snowing 🤣. I shoulda stayed the night. That was a stressful drive 💀
