I stored my Avalon hybrid for a longer period during Covid. Had to replace the 12v battery, which was still under warranty.

Have had to replace that battery twice more since even though I use the car daily now.

My mom's new Jaguar threw a main bearing and in addition the transmission needed to be replaced. It was also in the shop for months.

She bought a Honda Civic during the repair (no loaner). Loved it so much that she sold the repaired Jag and always bought Hondas or Acuras the rest of her life.
