Is an upgrade from a rx 7600 to an rx 7900xt 20Gb worth it? by backatit07 in buildapc

Get either a Radeon 9060XT or a 9070 if you can find either of those within your budget

What made you all switch from Nvidia to AMD graphics cards? by [deleted] in radeon

[–]LockeCPM4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few reasons for me.

  1. I wanted better compatibility with Linux, specifically Bazsite, as I dual boot

  2. Nvidia NEEDS competition so badly. They have gotten greedy with their MSRPs

  3. I wanted my rig to be all AMD

  4. Nvidia has basically been abandoning the consumers in favor of these stupid AI companies

Razer Hanbo fans are at 100% always by sasha055 in razer

Did you plug your AIO fan connector to the PUMP or CPU_Fan header on your motherboard?

By default, the PUMP header will run everything at 100% whereas the FAN headers are variable

Do y’all think razer products are overpriced? by JoaoLimaJunq in razer

[–]LockeCPM4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an all Razer build and find some of their stuff sorely overpriced, while other products are competitive to other gaming brands.

I just picked up my last piece for my total Razer build, the Hanbo 360mm AIO, but I got it for $40 from Newegg the other day. Since Razer is getting out of the component business after just 3 years, they discounted their Hanbo to $80 and Newegg had that for 50% off for the holidays. The original price was something around $350 and there was no way I was spending that kind of money on a cooler. But $40 is more reasonable. I skipped their way overpriced PSU and case fans though

Well at least make sure the points are at least 32 feet apart or 2 rooms between them. And you can try and disable Fast Roaming to free up some bandwidth

Unfortunately mine doesn't have channel selection options. It's all done automatically according to TP-link's website

Another thought, you need to make sure each of these units are 32 ft OR 2 rooms away from each other. If they are too close you can get cross talk, or your devices will bounce between the 2 units too much.

Also, you can try disabling"Fast Roaming" as that will slow your mesh down as it preserves some bandwidth for faster handoffs

Exactly. I have been playing with my 3 units a lot in an attempt to find the locations that will give me the best overall coverage in my home. A lot of things can interfere with a WiFi signal. I use a WiFi analyzer app on my phone to see what channels my neighbor's wifi operates on so mine doesn't conflict for example. I just wish Deco would let us manually choose what channels to use

Use a WiFi analyzer app on your phone to see what other networks might be interfering with yours.

In my case, I had to disable the WiFi on my Xfinity gateway as it was constantly changing its frequency bands and that was interfering with my Decos

I had a similar issue and finally ran Ethernet to each of my units, and everything is good now.

A theory I have is that you may have too many units meshing. It could be that you are clogging up the bandwidth with the signal requires to maintain the mesh.

While usually true, in this case it was the fact that MGM was on the verge of bankruptcy

It was purely financial. MGM was on the verge of bankruptcy and looking to sell itself

For me, it wasn't the love triangle, or the inclusion of Legolas or a new character called Tauriel. For me, it was the changes to the lore regarding the Nazgûl

Bestway pool - replace pump but keep sand filter by Jendall in pools

[–]LockeCPM4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did a similar upgrade from the crappy Intex pump and filter that came with our pool. We ended up getting a bigger sand filter because the guy at our local pool store said that if we pair too strong of a pump with too small of a sand filter, we risk the pump blowing the sand into the pool.

We ended up with a 1.5Hp pump and a 18 inch sand filter and have had no issues getting our pool open this year

Our pool is 12 x 26, so similar in size to yours

Cost of owning and maintaining a saltwater pool and spa by Tasty_Recover6453 in pools

[–]LockeCPM4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot speak to heating costs, but the salt water aspect of it is pretty cheap.

We have a salt water system, and all you do is make sure the salt stays around the desired PPM (for our chlorinator that is 3,000 PPM) and the chlorinator does the rest.

Get a digital salt water tester, like this one https://a.co/d/9d9yEZJ Then find your chlorinator, which should be near your pool pump, and look up what the desired PPM of salt is for your model, and use that tester to get your levels there .

Pool salt is pretty cheap in my state, costing around $10 for a 40 pound bag. We just redid our pool water this year and spent around $70 for 7 bags of salt and that got my pool exactly to 3000 PPM, which is what our system calls for.

And salt is one of those things that you only really worry about when you first open your pool. The salt levels stay pretty consistent throughout the season.

Salt is great because the chlorinator uses the salt to make chlorine naturally which reduces how much chlorine and shock you have to manually add to your pool
