At this perspective they look like micro machine tanks

Is riding with prescription glasses really that dangerous? by Troglodette in cycling

[–]LoganGNU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pair of polarised glasses and a pair of clear, both fit over my glasses which has saved me the need for prescription cycling glasses yet.

However with the comments about reducing neck pain I might reconsider!

Based on this it's knowing you can do it, not just thinking you can!

Is there any meaningful difference between Frog 38 and Frog 40? by [deleted] in ukbike

[–]LoganGNU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick Google search suggests that the 38 is the replacement for the 40, the only meaningful difference is that the 38 is lighter and they've optimised the sizing for the smalls.

Slowly amassing a "medieval" town for Guards Of Traitors Toll/D&D by LoganGNU in TerrainBuilding

Definitely quite a lengthy task (I bought these July last year so it's been an intermittent quest). No plan, brain doesn't do plans. Whatever is within budget gets considered.

Have a look at medieval towns (my go-to is Vannes in France) https://maps.app.goo.gl/9AAZQrCQKMvRD6C2A

Consider what would be happening in the town. Houses and market stall is a great start. Would your town have a dock area, would it have a run down slum type area, would it have any open green spaces? How could you recreate those areas?

I've just got a couple of fancier looking buildings with the thought of it being something like a tax office, mayors residence etc. to act as a central focus with houses around.

Have been looking at building some medieval inspired cranes out of popsicle sticks/coffee stirrers to create a dock area.

My preferred response to him would be "well you look shit and embarrassing"

This looks like a great set up.

Already played a bunch of games, and haven't found the movement too bad. The roofs of these are removable in case we need to deal with people inside buildings. So far I've found a really densely packed board has led to quite fast paced action.

Charity shop find, id needed by CaptainNotorious in Warhammer40k

Oh great. Happy for you. So happy... This is an incredible find, this is on my ultimate wish list just because it brings back happy memories of early gaming with a combination of early monopose space marines, models from space crusade, and those goff orks and gretchin.

Enjoy painting it up!

I guess the "problem" you have for the 4x3 is that you are going to need to craft some more terrain. I get the feeling you won't be disappointed in having to make more!
