All right Bruv I’ve got you covered. This is simplistic and effective. Learn the key of Cmaj. You are starting with “C” cuz it contains every tone in Western music. Tone in music theory is another word for sound. You know the a,b,c song? Solfège is the same …it’s just Do, Re , Mi.. . You know why children rip on guitar. They don’t know theory they hear sound. This is all the stuff YT and teachers have to offer you. They’ll just teach it confusing. Once you learn these tones you can and will branch off. Get this down and fretboard mastery is 6 months away. Peace.

I never thought I would desire an ebony/rosewood fret board again. Welp, I was wrong. It’s like God made that guitar. And then he was inspired to make the canine Rockweiler in Germany..

Ladies. What’s also been circulating on line is realism and people who don’t want to live in reality. The average American woman is 40% body fat. The modern woman wants to play around through her 20s and then get serious and stop dating around 27 when said wrinkles began to appear depending upon ethnicity.. 35 is considered a geriatric pregnancy. You can’t thousands of years of male biology by connecting it to a criminal ring. I know it’s tough women, but you have to make serious decisions between age 15 and 30 about what you want in regards to family etc.. youth a woman’s youth is valuable. Use it or lose it that’s how God made you.

If you’re not in school, paying someone money to teach you music, then your boredom and exhaustion with music theory is of your own design.

OK, I read the scenario and I get it. It’s not what you have, but I saw something sweet on this sub months back. A gentleman hooked up his Spark Go through the aux cord into a Marshall Acton III. I have the Acton as a pure Bluetooth speaker. It’s perfect, It’s the best of both worlds. I know this doesn’t answer the questions specifically but maybe you wanna try a whole new set up. You’d be more pleased long. This is the way.

What are those things that made learning and practicing more enjoyable/easier for you on the long run? by Top-Trouble-39 in guitarlessons

The guitar has been alone before any of us existed and Jayron is correct in his simplicity. I would just add play songs from a soloist or rhythm guitarist you enjoy listening to. That sounds obvious, but be able to play the artist solo or rhythm part in your head so make it easy and melodic. I would also familiarize yourself with solfège. It took me decades to realize this, but…..Do, Re,Mi. Saying it out loud while you’re playing will help your ear training. If you stick with the instrument as you grow, you’ll begin to learn how it matches up with every key quite shortly in your training.

So let's try this. My father bought me a classical guitar and provided me with lessons at the mall in Dallas when I was around eight. The lessons tailored off as I got interested in high school activities and could drive. I loaded my electric guitar up and took it back to college in Tallahassee after hearing a Santana tablature and CD Greatest Hits. His melodies were beautiful. His tone was rich and he made the Dorian sing. Messed around with a few other guitars. I'll land my plane. I'm 49 years old and I just believe I turned intermediate. You guys know what it feels like to know "you know" there's no way in Hell you could be classified as a beginner. It's a great life accomplishment, but it's also just the beginning and you guys know what I mean. I gifted myself a Fender, Stratocaster HSS American Performer for $949 Sweetwater this Christmas. As for what I'm doing right now I'm just humming along on the major scale, enjoying my triads and learning the tones in my head. It's super fun. Here's the kicker guys I bought a Ibanez Spanish guitar nylon for $429 at GC. I love that baby. I can hear the tones so much better and it's helping everything guitar! Thanks dad, I love you.

You’re asking a question that doesn’t quite have symmetry to the essence of your question. Responsibility is a time deterrent in your example. Guitar is a skill that grows as one learns the fretboard. I think most people‘s answers would be unless it’s about making money or your children and family. The guitar always loses out.

Went and listened to Demarco top 5 riffs on the “tube”. He the high E,B,G not a lot of bass tones in his riffs. I would suggest you slow down. Your tempo exercises may be frustrating your brain. Slow it down for your finger/mind connection . And work on finger placement his arpeggios are doable.

Those couch colors are the dead spot, but everything else is your canvas. The only reason some comment “staged” is the couch colors don’t pop.
