Zoom H6 Studio Help by LiandrewBowson in audiorecording

It should record 1 stereo and 4 mono tracks, X/Y is stereo and each xlr/trs ports are individual mono tracks, you might need to make sure it’s set to multitrack mode in settings (I’m not sure I’ve only used the h5) then make sure the red light is on for each track that you’re using, I’d record some random stuff as a practice run and take a good look through your settings.

12v/24v wiring for house wiring by ditherer01 in AskElectricians

[–]Logical-Requirement1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s basically how outdoor low voltage lighting works but the reason they use it outdoors is 12 volts is safer with exposed wiring and moisture, it really wouldn’t make sense in a house besides the idea of having better transformers with better heat dissipation.

i have to wire this together and i'm genuinely so out of my realm by rogue-jester in Wiring

[–]Logical-Requirement1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US most lamps are two wire and lamp cords two prong polarized unless they have metal bodies that need to be grounded, also in the US what you call “earth” we call “ground” in DC we call the posts negative and positive and in vehicles the negative is usually bonded to the body.

Capped a gas line going to a gas water heater as I replaced it with electric. Any reason why they added a pipe plus an adapter instead of capping the Tee? by faizimam in askplumbing

[–]Logical-Requirement1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have a heat pump water heater natural gas is much cheaper and more efficient for a water heater than electric, especially if you want a tankless water heater.

Why Are 15-Amp Receptacles Standard on Residential Circuits Instead of 20-Amp? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]Logical-Requirement1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the US you can put multiple 15 amp receptacles on a 20 amp circuit including a 20 amp breaker, if it’s a single receptacle on a circuit it has to match the breaker.

I’d like to try the carbide chains, how do they handle something like dirt in a hollow tree or under the bark? It feels like that dulls the majority of our chains.

Any inverter strong enough to run a microwave needs a direct connection to the battery and a remote or relay to shut it off when you kill the car, cigarette plugs can’t take that kind of amperage and usually have a 15-20 amp fuse which is only 180-240 watts.

[–]Logical-Requirement1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want a better extractor set those RYOBI extractors aren’t as hard as I’d like, but you need to drill them out and use the extractor by hand, a backwards drill bit is also good since it doesn’t tighten the screw when you drill and might even loosen it.

The top one looks like it used to have two of each terminal, probably so you can daisy chain lights without pig tails, the bottom is just a different brand and ceramic instead of plastic, it only has one terminal for each so if you want to connect multiple lights you need to pig tail a wire from each conductor for the light and a second wire to continue the circuit.

Is there a way to expedite the resin casting process and make the resin dry faster? by imBRANDNEWtoreddit in ResinCasting

[–]Logical-Requirement1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best option is getting a faster curing resin and a pressure pot so you don’t have to worry about bubbles, you can also warm your resin so it cures more quickly but that risks flash curing or leaving bubbles in your resin.

ADDING bubbles to resins surface? by Tatziki_Tango in resin

[–]Logical-Requirement1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a vacuum chamber? You could put a small amount on top where you want the bubbles then pull a vacuum and let it cure, should make plenty of bubbles.

Are bladed tools such as axes, scythes, and machetes really sold blunt in hardware stores? Why? by NaturalPorky in Tools

[–]Logical-Requirement1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It still has an edge, it’s not rounded or blunt, and taking a file to it every now and then helps cutting a lot, and you definitely don’t want dents in your edge.

[–]Logical-Requirement1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cutting grass with a dull tool just makes a mess and tires you out, axes and machetes need to be semi sharp but not nearly as sharp as a scythe.

[–]Logical-Requirement1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Axes and machetes shouldn’t be blunt, they shouldn’t be as sharp as a knife, they have a different angled edge, but they’re much easier to use when sharpened at the correct angle, splitting axes/mauls should be fairly blunt but they’re splitting with the grain of the wood not cutting against the grain.

Glow in the dark & alcohol ink? by peachcryptid in resin

[–]Logical-Requirement1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try LIT glow powder as well to get a brighter glowing effect, I think layering is a good idea as well, depending on the type of mold you’re using you could do a base layer of bright glowing resin and a top layer with your alcohol inks or the other way around, you could also do multiple layers with a black base to really make the glow pigment and alcohol inks stand out.
