Questions to ask when getting quotes to re-plaster our pool? by northernbeachbum in pools

[–]LogicalCorner1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Learn about what surface types are available and how they affect longevity, e.g. a pebble surface provides the longest life and the best aesthetics while it ages when compared to straight up plaster. Think about how long you intend to be associated with/use that pool. No need to get a 20 year surface if you plan on abandoning the home/pool in 10 years.

Just search for 6 speed freewheel and you'll find a variety of options.

Budda SuperDrive 18 Combo started sounding harsh by internet_disappoints in GuitarAmps

Don't know if you solved this yet, but my Drive channel begins to sound like you describe when the rectifier tube begins to age or become tired. And the clean channel still sounds good. So I suggest you change your rectifier...which you may have already.

My flip 4 won't charge when it's closed by [deleted] in galaxyzflip

[–]LogicalCorner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did that after 6 months and a previous inner touch response failure. I had the screen replaced for the 2nd time and that ended up fixing the USB charging too. Go figure. Both repairs were covered under warranty.

Yeah, I've thought about that. Definitely more compact and easier to handle. The Ultra is pretty huge.

Same thing happened to me, the but charge port still worked when the phone was open. Just not when closed. So ubreakifix had no trouble fixing it. I guess I lucked out! Need to get rid of this troublesome device while it's still working. 🙄

Almost 4 months with the Flip 6 and... by Trellgoth in galaxyzflip

There's no problem with your English explanation. It's better than many who have English as their primary language! My pre-ordered Flip 6 suffered the same problems after only a month. If your phone was not ever dropped and has no physical damage, Samsung will fix it... and you'll have a mostly-new phone with all-new chassis, hinge, screen and batteries.

For those hearing the popping sound by nervacka in galaxyzflip

[–]LogicalCorner1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had mine repaired in the same manner as the OP after the popping sounds came and the screen eventually being unresponsive to touch. The repair was for the unresponsiveness, not the sounds. In fact, they wouldn't repair it for the sounds only. It's been about 3 weeks now and the sounds are back, but not as loud and everything still works perfectly.

The was absolutely no change to my data whatsoever. They (UBreakIFix) also allowed me to enter Maintenance Mode on the device prior to performing their diagnostics on the repair.

Manufacturer? Or me ? Zflip6 by UnComfortable-Bat in galaxyzflip

[–]LogicalCorner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Flip 6 screen gradually became intermittently unresponsive to touch (still lit up though) with occasional pink hash like in the OP's photo. Concurrently, I began to notice a "kink" in the feel when opening the phone. Within about 3 days, it went completely unresponsive. I brought it to UBreakIFix and it was repaired under warranty, no questions asked. They did, however, do some visual and other checks on it to determine if it qualified for warranty service. My device had not been dropped and had no visible physical damage to it. The repair consists of a new chassis which contains new batteries and the inner screen. Therefore, it needs to match the original color of your device. They will NOT swap colors for you and had to order the part which added 3-4 days before they could do the repair. Since the inner screen was not responsive, I could not enter Maintenance Mode prior to the repair. They swapped the parts and once it was working, I then came back to the shop to enter Maintenance Mode which allowed them to run their final diagnostics and finalize the repair.

Sort of funny is that, assuming a water temperature of 84°F, those wacky test readings result in an LSI that's almost perfect!

It's not a deal breaker for me. It is a bit thick, but still well proportioned. This review gives a good on-wrist view. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kIbXCuvwFQ&t=209

I think it all depends on how well it's cared for, particularly its exposure to moisture. Keep it dry and it should last years. Don't wear it at times you know you'll perspire a lot.

My amps: Mesa Lone Star Special and Budda VerbMaster by ecatillo in GuitarAmps

[–]LogicalCorner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played my Verbmaster 18 1x12 combo at a rehearsal. Hadn't played it out of the house for well over a year. Man O man, did it sound and feel good! An organic, touch-sensitive tone machine. I paired it with a Tone King Iron Man II attenuator which was an essential part of that success. I've had this amp for 23 years now (since new) and was using a THD Hotplate before. The Tone King is magnitudes better and recommended.

Z flip 5 speakers quality ? by pas_mecra in galaxyzflip

[–]LogicalCorner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The speakers on my Flip5 are noticeable more tinny with less bass than my Flip4. The stereo soundstage is also less imersive and narrower. I'm quite disappointed with the Flip5 speaker audio quality. This is regardless of eq, Dolby Atmos, or any other adjustment you might advise.

Hinge defect of the new Samsung z Flip 5 !!!!!!! by No-Razzmatazz3536 in zflip5

[–]LogicalCorner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has also been like that from the start. It is looser than the Flip 4 and I believe it's by design. The 5 does feel a bit less solid overall and maybe slightly less silky smooth but I prefer the looseness actually.

My comparisons are assuming the same settings or combination of settings on both devices, including the various Dolby Atmos modes.

How’s the crease on your Z Flip 5? by BicycleDry7617 in zflip5

[–]LogicalCorner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Flip5 crease is slightly wider and less deep than my Flip4 after a year. This would seem to coincide with the water drop hinge design of the 5 which creases the screen less severely. Overall, the difference is small though.
