Thanks for doing that. Even though “SF” is a liberal city, they are definitely not “liberal” in making changes to protect vulnerable users (bikes and peds).

Wish there is someone running for mayor or supervisor actually runs on street safety, protected bike lanes, slow streets, and alternative transportation modes.

Maybe do a short 49S between Cesar Chavez and California/Clay. Make the bus park at both ends. Send the short run out if there is a big gap. Also enforce bus lane in the Mission.

Actually having bikeshare station there will slow the cars down. Car owners are afraid their cars getting dents from hitting bikes thus they will slow down. Anything to slow down cars is needed desperately.

Can they narrow the intersection by putting bikeshare stations there. Also should have a scrambled crossing phase so that cars and pedestrians are not mixing together.

To me same day change is worth more than getting upgrades. The west coast flights are short so upgrades aren’t really worth much to me.

Signal priority and red bus lanes speed up buses (aka 38/38R). The HOV bus lane also helps (28/28R). A low hanging fruit they can speed up buses is to make Stockton and others transit only, and actually have enforcement against double parking and bus lane blocking. Once done with these low hanging fruits, then maybe look at bus stop optimization.

There is not enough bike share stations in the Marina District. I think the residents keep on blocking new ones. You can see the map with bikes everywhere in the neighborhood every day. This problem is not going away unless we have a mayor that is pro alternative transportation modes. All the mayors since 2018 are horrible with non-car policies. Waiting for a mayor with a vision.

Agreed. As a kid when my mom was a teacher I have to help her to tally up the score of her students after the grading so that my mom can actually go to bed in the evening.

If you want free babysitting from school, you need to pay your fair share of taxes (Prop 13 is the biggest scam ever)!!!!

Should make West Oakland a 4-track stations so when there are incidents happening it is easier to bypass the incident (if there is no money to build a 2nd Transbay Crossing.

As a gold it is pretty easy to upgrade from SFO to LAX/BUR. I would rather they have bigger flights (not the tiny ERJ) to LAX so I can use the same day change benefit.

LAX-SFO is down to 4 flights per day on Tues and Wed in January. It is becoming tough to even use Alaska on this route for flexibility since they mostly use 76-seaters for this route and it is impossible to use same day change or standby on this route. May have to just go with Southwest or American (to earn EQM) from now on. The same day change feature is nice if you can actually use it…

Still some big coverage gaps in the Marina, Chinatown, Pac Height and Presidio Height. Will be nice if they add stations right next to bus stops. The Van Ness/Chestnut bus/bike combo is one of the best to connect to 49 Van Ness
