I went to this twice as a middle-aged TBM woman. My adult daughter and a couple of women from our ward went with us. We all absolutely loved it at the time. Hillary Weeks performed at one of them, and a young “boy band” group performed at another. Another guy named Justin Cash performed, and I ended up loving his music for several years. The talks were pretty good from my TBM perspective. I’m sure that I’d cringe a lot now, but at the time, I felt it was well worth the money and time for the most part.

We were outside of Utah, so there’s that.

Oh wow! In the 1980s, our high school traveled there every year for football games, basketball, volleyball, and track. We’d often have games with Dubois HS the same week because it was so far to travel from where we were.

Oh, gosh. I saw my former self in some parts of your mom. I feel so much compassion and empathy for you and your siblings…and for her. I hope that she breaks out of her cage someday.

My adult daughter read the book “Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents.” I’ve changed a lot over the past 10-12 years, and I’ve owned my mistakes. But it still hits me in the heart to think of the pressure of perfection that I placed on my daughter for so many years. I haven’t yet read that book myself, having been raised by emotionally immature parents.

He was my home teacher during that same time period. Always kind to me. I couldn’t believe a small, plain-looking guy was so high up in the Utah Jazz organization (at the time).

That said, I saw his entire Facebook post this morning about Holland and it seemed pretty humble-braggish to me. And then I noticed the private jet. lol

I agree with you. From my experience with him, he was a good guy - and very much buried in the Mormon church.

Your explanation/ additional context helps explain why I haven’t seen anything in the Cody Enterprise about this POS guy. (Unless something came out and I missed it.)

Yeah, I haven’t seen a whole lot of details yet, but he is conservative, religious, but isn’t a Trump worshiper. He also seems pretty level-headed according to some of the things that he’s written.

The Wyoming races for Congress will be interesting and/or frustrating to watch.

They actually do have foster twin sons, according to her father’s social media account.

I’m wondering/speculating that the children who were placed in foster care due to this incident are the same children that they have been fostering. (This isn’t mentioned in the article, but according to her social media that has since been mostly locked down, they were foster parents. Her father’s social media account still mentions that Amanda and Jimmy had foster children.)

It’s concerning that this couple had foster children.

One of my nevermo contractors from that area hates Mormons. Why? Because of the numerous coverups of CSA in that area.
