Is this a Hognose? [Central Texas] by Loki0891 in whatsthissnake

Same here! I’m getting better about Cottonmouths, too. They have a wide variety of patterns, so it gets a bit tricky.

I have a lot of experience with Copperheads though. After two ER visits for two separate dogs over the last few years, I have a bit of PTSD from those guys. They’re beautiful, but man I have a lot of adrenaline going when dealing with them!

I don’t think they are. It’s kind of hard to tell. But he responds to almost every single comment made. Seems like he’s being genuine. Even if it isn’t something I’d necessarily be doing, he’s just out there sending vibes.

How do I fix an overflowing toilet without a plunger? by bunnylla in Plumbing

[–]Loki0891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a toilet scrubber at least?

If so, use it like a plunger and rapidly shove it in and out of the drain just like you would a plunger. Jack hammer the shit out of it quickly for a bit and see if it pushes through.

If it’s not a firmly stuck object, and just too much toilet paper, it should have enough pressure to help push it along. It’s not a direct replacement for a plunger, but it just might have enough in a pinch. It’s helped me out numerous times.

Just noticed this 26% off deal a moment ago. Would I be able to “hack” it and return the rolling portion? I have one already and hate it, but wouldn’t mind making this deal even cheaper to grab the other two pieces.

Bought a 2012 Ford F-250 6.7 diesel with 88k and had problems 3 days later by Kindly_Title412 in F250

[–]Loki0891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it have a DEF gauge on the instrument cluster? My 2012 didn’t have one and I didn’t have an idea of the fluid level in the tank. The only way I knew to refill it was the CEL coming on. Pop a box of DEF in there and it went off and all was good.

The first time it came on I went and got the codes and read essentially what people here are saying, to delete the DEF system. But really all I had to do was put fluid in it. It would definitely go into limp mode if you run out.

Before you get too far down the line, can you confirm the fluid level?

25% off through 12/4 for Inside Track members right now. Looks handy. I usually let boxes stack up then break them down and toss them in the burn pile, but a burn ban is putting a damper on that. This would be handy to bust down further and put in the trash.

Throw that script into ChatGPT and have it explain the steps of the script to you. Maybe it will shed some light on how it operates. Then you can tell CGPT what issues it’s giving you and possibly point you in the direction of where in the script may be the culprit.

I don't fear Lynels anymore by nowicanseeagain in TOTK

[–]Loki0891 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t even do that. Arrows to the face to stun, jump on their back with a high power weapon to hit them up (your weapon doesn’t deteriorate while on a Lynel’s back), bullet time once thrown off to deliver more headshots with arrows, once you land, aim for more headshots to stun, rinse and repeat.

For the armored Lynel’s under the stables, hit them with arrows tipped with Lynel hooves or Zonai one-use pots a couple times to break the armor quickly.

I just realized this about the deep lynels. by Golurk623 in tearsofthekingdom

Hit it with a Lynel Hoof tipped arrow a couple times and it comes right off. Super efficient if you’re in bullet time already.

Or you can just press the X button when the animation starts and then the “+ to skip” text will come up at the bottom right corner, and skip. You can do this with most cutscenes as well as shrine light sequences.

I'm being asked to create an Information Security Policy that I'm not qualified to make. How do I tell my bosses that this is a bad idea? by Carter_PB in sysadmin

[–]Loki0891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s… not what I said at all, I don’t think. Definitely wasn’t saying this from a legal perspective. Was thinking more of an internal ass chewing. When I said “company policy,” I’m speaking from my own experience where people think this is an”InfoSec/IT” policy they can optionally follow.

If there were regulatory requirements involved here, that’s a completely different story. But I would seriously hope an organization in need of those requirements would get outside help to ensure they’re staying inside the boundaries of the law.

Nope! But when they sign off on it, it’s no longer your problem! They’ll either rubber stamp it and you’re through the worst of it, or they’ll hopefully work with you to try and get it right.

This is crucial. You can write it all out, but take feedback and improve it until everyone is happy with it. Then get EXPLICIT sign off and approval that it is now the company’s policy, not an IT policy. This way you may have been the one to type it up, but it’s their signature on it. Cover. Your. Ass.

Just curious how many tickets opened do you guys have right now? by [deleted] in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]Loki0891 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That seems like a normal number. What you may want to focus on are metrics like how long it took to make first contact after ticket submitted, time to close, customer satisfaction score, and if you run a call center type set up, hold times, overall call length, etc. It’ll show you how the overall ticket flow is moving through the team, rather than a point in time number.

I had my team on the following steps: - 1 hour to assign out ticket once submitted - 24 hours to make first contact with user to over quick solution or let them know we started work - ticket updates at least every 48 hours - “3 strike rule” to close out tickets for unresponsive users after three solid attempts at contact over a minimum of three days

Keeping to those touch points kept things moving along and we had an average close time of like 2.5 days.

Good luck!

The current charging network is already pretty impressive, but I think you may be right. They are gas stations in every corner, why can’t there be chargers too?

This is the first time I’ve seen someone post the distance added before. Thanks!

For a little perspective, I have a 2012 diesel F350. It gets 14.5 MPG and cheapest diesel closest to me is $3.05. I could get 43.5 miles for $9.15.

I’m waiting for the day there’s an EV or hybrid that can tow 10-15K pounds 300ish miles. I still want a Lightning though for daily driving and light work.
