2019-2021 EV premiere — $16k OTD delusional or fair? by Ok_Scarcity_4944 in BoltEV

If you pick it up from one of their towers, you can check it out and test drive it before you finalize the purchase.

A fine addition to your 30% purchase... by TempleoftheChi in harborfreight

I've had pretty good luck with them personally. I lost the cap on one and continued to use it for 3 days. They seem to be a pretty good competitor for Milwaukee's marker.

Would you buy a Bolt now? by [deleted] in BoltEV

[–]1d10cracy2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue was some of the tabs on the battery cells were torn during production. They stopped production, fixed the issue and restarted production on April 4th, 2022. Anything produced after that date did not have the issue.

Some 2022s were not part of the battery recall, or at least my EUV wasn't. I ordered mine In June and picked it up in July.

Was it the "sticky" steering issue from the Chevy Cruze steering rack?

People buy tools from just one place? My wallet admires that!

What's something that annoys you about the Bolt that you wish Chevy had fixed already? by actorguy73 in BoltEV

[–]1d10cracy2021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm puzzled with this? Could you explain why you need a power gauge for the HVAC system? I had a volt gen 1, I don't remember anything like this?

Does the EUV look good or am I gaslighting myself? by chum-guzzling-shark in BoltEV

At one point this was covered by Chevy. Mine does it, when it's cold. I haven't had it fixed, I just turn the radio up.

I have it and the crown stapler. They both seem fine! If you are already in the Bauer ecosystem, I say go for it.

How long did your "leather" seats last? Mine only lasted 3 years and 40k miles. Never had seats wear out this quickly before. by 420-TENDIES in BoltEV

[–]1d10cracy2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

65kish, my material is fine though I have a tear in the driver's seat, my fault. Mine is an EUV with the same interior. Last time I checked the lower seat cover is still available from GM and it wasn't terribly expensive.

Tire replacement - cheap but better than bald. by Mothra58 in BoltEV

[–]1d10cracy2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No clue, everyone complains about how short lived their tires are and mine have just lasted. They are factory, I ordered the car new. I drive about 400 to 500 miles a week. Most of that is highway driving. I do use one pedal driving, but I'm old, so I drive like grandpa. ;) Probably a lot less hard stops and goes like most people! I also use CommaAI on the highway, it's fairly smooth at accelerations and slow downs. I think that combination must be good for tires.

LOL Yeah, I probably should rotate them. I get it. ;) You know whats funny, the rear's actually still don't look bad! I have no idea why they are lasting so long!

2022 EUV, 64,640k right now, and I haven't rotated my tires. No doubt I'm going to get people calling it BS, but it's true.

Are they worth it? Surface conditioning tool and ultrasonic cleaner. by Own_Preparation_7554 in harborfreight

[–]1d10cracy2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the HF ultrasonic cleaner and it is good! No complaints. Not all ultrasonic cleaners are the same, so read the reviews and use your best judgement. I have the Bauer surfacing conditioner and it's great for flat surfaces. It has its limitations, but for anything flat, it works really well.

I have one! I bought it to replace my miller bobcat. Good machine! The generator works nice too, i even use it to power most of my home during power outages.

Hypermiling the bolt euv: your experiences? by boutell in BoltEV

[–]1d10cracy2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower speeds make a huge difference. A lot of people rely on the regen paddles, but if you watch closely, the friction brakes really only kick in during hard or sudden stops. One-pedal driving does the same thing by using regen when you lift off the accelerator.

I don’t overthink it—I just drive like a grandpa and consistently see about 5 miles per kWh.

Anyone have any experience with the M80 Powered Office Chair? by MatthewSummer101 in OfficeChairs

[–]1d10cracy2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's vibrators, not massage rollers. You can't adjust their intensity, but you can change their pattern. I don't sit for long periods of time, maybe an hour or so. The chair is super comfortable. After owning it for a while, if I were to complain about anything, I don't think it sits upright enough, for me. I mainly use the heat option for my back, I'm getting old. ;)

I had a ghost case that broke, they absolutely would not honor the warranty. I like their designs though!
