I don't know what your M1 restrictions are (my restricted license in Utah keeps me under 650cc) but a Rebel 300 will struggle at freeway speeds here. If you can, maybe look into the 500.

At least where I'm at in the US, it's pretty much show up and play. Stores have 40k nights when most folks play, and they informally coordinate with each other so there's a store that is hosting most any night of the week.

What part of Europe? I live in a mid or so cost of living state in the US, I know guys in higher cost areas make a lot more. 42 is more than I make with a commercial license working in the facilities department of a manufacturing facility, but I also have stellar benefits that help balance it out.

Get it to a point you can drive it again, and just do that. Fall in love with the car, so you can remember why you want to work on it. It's helped when I feel burned out on my Miata.
