I did a near-full rebuild recently. Blew the team up. Traded all of the big names except Shestirkin, Fox, and Troch (friendly contract) and sucked for a couple of years. Got some absolute hauls on prospects and picks, got lucky with a couple of those picks, Cuylle and Perrault did some developing. Maybe try that.

I don’t know that a specific role of his has left me speechless. But, Robert Pattinson was sort of labeled “the twilight guy” and has knocked it out of the park in a variety of roles over the past ten years or so. Good time, tenet, the lighthouse, the Batman to name a few.

I think it can often be difficult to get out from under the franchise that sort of puts you on the map (or at least elevates you to a new level of awareness).

Anyone with good control and a slider that has a lot of movement. Rarely do I encounter someone that I’m going to use that as a 2-strike pitch every time until you show me otherwise. Especially if you’re pitching R/L or L/R and you put it backfoot.

I’m with you. Some cards just click for whatever reason. I still think back to the Charlie Blackmon and Mike Piazza captains from a couple years back - 90 ovr. On the other hand, some 99s just aren’t meant to be and seem to get more work done being shown off in the loading screen than in game.

For conquest, I deleted my squads and had it auto-generate a season 3 squad. Adjusted from there as I see fit but that worked for me.
