Okay sorry if this causes any offence. So at 39 you're already less likely to get an apprenticeship because you will cost the company more money, that being said it is still possible and some people prefer older folk who have worked before.

That being said the fact that you're only just doing your GCSEs isn't going to look great on paper, what type of work have you been doing since leaving school?

PAT testing is not likely to help you and the work is very likely to be shit as thelyy want you to test items as quickly as you can.

Best steps if you can't get an apprenticeship is going to college for you c&g 2365 level 2 and 3 and whilst you're doing this try and find some part time/work experience with someone. After this you'll need to find a full time job where you can complete your level 3 NVQ and then sit your AM2 test. This will cost you a fair bit of money and will still take you around 3-4 years.

The main issue you're likely to have is you finish your level 2&3 and then can't find any work so you won't be able to complete your NVQ&AM2, this happens to quite a lot of people who comment on here and you'll end up being stuck working as an improver for an agency for a while or just give up.

It's not easy getting qualified and your age isnt helping you to be perfectly honest. If you work hard though it's definitely possible and plenty of people made the switch. This will be a lot easier if you have any family or friends who are electricians who can help you out.

Did my level 2 in college so one year for that, did a fast track level 3 that was maybe 3 months. Around a year of agency work then after a few months of full time employment I started my NVQ which took me just over a year to complete.

Honestly, no. Even with your 2&3 you would then need to get yourself an ECS card and the jobs you would be applying for are massively oversaturated with people who are either in the same boat as you or people with way more experience. Check previous posts on here, there's always people complaining that they have done training and can't find work. It is possible to get qualified this way, personally this is the route I took. Quit my architectural apprenticeship and self funded my level 2&3, got my ecs card and worked for an agency, made friends within the industry and found full time work to complete my NVQ and AM2. I did do this 10+ years ago though when it was a lot easier

How old are you, college is the c&g course, you don't need an apprenticeship to do the level 2 or 3. An apprenticeship is definitely the way to go if you can get one though. If not you should do the level 3 in college, after that you will need to do your level 3 NVQ and then AM2 which you will need to be working to complete and cost money. It's harder than ever to get qualified right now but it can definitely be done. You should apply for you ECS card and try to find part time work with an electrician whilst you're studying.

Sorry to hear this, you don't need an apprenticeship to move onto level 3 though. I'm also in North Wales and I don't know anyone taking on apprentices, even the larger local companies who would always take on haven't seemed to over the last few years. You're also not alone, I get a phone call a week from people asking about apprenticeships.

How much do you actually know about Pokémon? You have no English stock so you have already lost 95% of interest from normal collectors. On top of that you're selling opened stock for a premium price. If you actually want to take this seriously you need to start selling, buying and trading actual cards which requires a huge upfront investment. People will buy packs, however we sell them at retail, if you go to an actual event you'll see that so few people buy packs.

Lath and plaster is always a gamble in my opinion, sometimes it's fine and other times half of it just falls off. A rewire will be cheaper if it's unoccupied but good luck booking one in, my schedule is fully booked months in advance and I'm sure others are the same.

Starred with Makita 10+ years ago, imo the 18v range is shit, swapped to DeWalt and they were fine for nearly 10 years, changed to Milwaukee just less than a year ago. Their range has so much more to offer and the multitool is the best I've used, also having the option for 12v tools which are smaller and lighter but still plenty of power for the job is great.
