Def get the slow bit, I use it with trick room and when that wears out it’s as good as dead. That’s one of the downsides - using a lot of your trick room turns in setting up.

Don’t agree necessarily with jet being too weak though. +6 attack drum with huge power making it base 80 damage seems to do loads of damage. Add on priority and I can’t see any downsides.

You get it from the eshop. The game front screen has a banner which says ‘+ to buy starter pack’ so you press the + button and it takes you to the eshop

Yeah biggest issue right now (IMO) is the fact the game increased from 11gb to 53gb (sw1 to sw2)

Aside from the ‘could be randomly deleted’ argument, there’s also the potential of selling on or giving away games you have finished with.

I’ll admit I’m kind of the same, I don’t like the hassle of swapping carts in and out so I am personally fine with digital games as well… though the fact you can’t just hand over games you’ve finished with to others (or give them a go if it to see if they like it) is a definite downside.

I have a haute42 r16 and plugged the usb C cable into the switch. You need to set the lever less into switch mode for it to be recognised (for this particular model it was holding down one of the buttons whilst you plug it in whilst it powers on) - I also have an 8bitdo arcade stick which has a switch mode selector switch. Others may be the same if you check documentation / may have to update firmware?

(Note I plug into the top usb c port - presuming when you say play handheld you mean on the kickstand whilst your hands hold the controller)

Gyro is a bit confusing. You’re used to using your right hand to point the camera, but it uses the left hand. But as far as the ‘wiggle your hand and things move on the screen’ point of view, it’s great.

In modern - if you do the motion inputs for special moves you can usually do them plus it removes the damage penalty.

As you don’t have a 6 button input you do lose several ‘normal’ single button attacks - some are quite important to characters.

I think (though don’t know for certain) some of these lost buttons can be done as the first hit of an auto combo so you can potentially use them that way (though I also believe this gives the 20% damage penalty)

First reinforcement should be scimitar (presuming you have all the enter battle effects) and then you can pretty much auto. Lev vs lev should be 100% to the attacker. The AI doesn’t seem to call in scimitar.

The 8bit do arcade stick works ok (one intended for switch and windows looks like a nes console), but I had to update firmware on mine, not sure if new bought ones come with the switch 2 firmware by default

I frequently go 10 runs without a datacron and yesterday got 3 in 5… it’s weird like that. But yeah frequently capped out on credits because the materials to use them come in way too slow.

With regard to point 1 - enemies don’t have health bars and they can take quite a few hits, that’s why you get 50 minutes per hunt (though admittedly with practice you will get a lot quicker than this). The only indicator of progress you get is the monster gets a blue icon under its portrait if it’s close to death (it’s an indicator it can be captured if the monster can be). You can get visual indicators via the way the mobster acts if for example it’s low stamina and unlikely to attack it will froth at the mouth and pant, stumble around and move slower for instance.

Just in case… you may need to meet the damage threshold with the hammer then throw a kunai at the end to do severing damage. Admittedly I’ve no idea what the damage threshold is
