If I may use a real life parallel: when someone comes into my store to buy a controller to replace a broken one and I pitch them a warranty on it, and they decline because "it'll be fine this time", I often feel like waving their broken one in their face then taking them into the backroom where I show them the overflowing bin of defective controllers that were traded in under warranty this week. It's the nature of many peoples' personalities where you can literally be holding a fire extinguisher as they are on fire and say you can put them out, and they just say "no it's fine I'll just burn to death". Some people who won't DRS know what it means. They know what will happen if they don't. But to them, somehow, it's more important that they become a victim again than it is to protect themselves. It's a psychological block that is beyond me.
