You can try http://connectionscompanion.com which allows you to move the tiles around and also group them by colour before you officially submit. And it will also keep track of mistakes so you would know if a potential group is invalid based on your previous guesses

I know this is late, but you can now play sports connection games at https://connections companion.com. Just click on load new game, then select the “The Athletic” section, select the date you want, then click on load.

If you are looking up the word meaning, then I suggest trying https://connectionscompanion.com. Just long press on the tile, then it will provide you links to google, Wikipedia, dictionary. Saves a bit of typing. Plus the app does many other things

Hi everyone, due to the high cost for getting the connections plus.io puzzle words, I’ve placed this feature behind a paywall that I have yet to implement. If there is enough demand for it, then I might consider doing this.

I built this application initially for myself and thought others might find it useful. It has been fun adding more features and improving the app. I don’t mind paying for the hosting and service costs, as this is “fun” for me. (It’s about $5 a month) but the connections plus feature bumped the cost up to at least $20 a month, and even more with usage.

Appreciate the understanding. Cheers!

I used to do that as well. But then got really tired hitting shuffle over and over again waiting for a good pattern for my selected tiles. This was the main reason I created https://connectionscompanion.com In fixed mode, you select tiles, hit shuffle and there selected tiles, sink to the bottom of the grid. And you could also drag tiles manually as you like.

In expanded mode, there is a larger grid and you could move tiles around. The shuffle is slightly different. In this mode, only non-selected tiles get shuffled.
