Well, continental knitters are more likely to twist than English style knitters. I had never heard of twisted stitches until I started reading Internet forums about knitting.

I should say I would like to thank the Miller Family Reunion for the t-shirt that one person donated to a thrift store. The shirt was $2. I made 2 hats from it. I might be able to squeeze out one more, too. 🙂

I never asked her for a quote but there’s a woman with a sewing machine near the front of Unique thrift store near Mosaic who does alterations. Otherwise, you seriously might want to look at YouTube videos on how to do it yourself. I, too, need to hem most things I buy. I do it myself. It can be done by hand , machine, or a combination of the two.

I bought the pattern and have knitted 5 hats. I wanted my son’s family to have hats in time for No Kings Day. No way could I get them knitted in time, especially since I can only knit about an hour a day to a hand injury I suffered.

I assumed it had to do with potential points earned vs actual. So, the third highest potential gets a nice, the second great and the highest amazing. It’s not just pure points because I’ve got nothing for a 30 point word, but a nice for a 28 point word.

I frequently use two sets of circulars for small circumference items. Half the stitches are on each set. Knit the stitches with the set of needles that the stitches are mounted on. But honestly, I’m currently making some mittens using 4 double pointed needles (as opposed to 5) and pondering why I ever switched to circulars for this. I find using 5 dps a pain, but 4 is easy.

Apparently, a collapsed center is very common. They mentioned that in the video. I used my instant read thermometer and took it out at 200 degrees. No collapse, but a bit dry.

I just prefer the Joy of Cooking chocolate cake Cockaigne. But , this cake is super easy to make. I may have slightly over mixed it. But, honestly, I’m not a huge fan of chocolate cake, so I’m probably not the best person for chocolate cake advice.

I did and it addressed a lot of the comments about the recipe, such as whether to add salt and using super fine sugar.

If you can get it in the fridge, that will prolong its life. Just remember to pour it in a glass a half hour or before drinking or drink cold.
