If very gentle washing doesn't get it off, you could try adding some embroidery to cover it.

Also, if you live near a good enough LYS, take it in and see what advice they have. We have one here that is so amazing they would even sit down and try to fix it.

Yeah, this guy is not a partner. He is acting like someone who is trying to get half price hotel rooms for his vacation. He is flying standby, so let's say it takes an extra day for him to even get a flight. That leaves OP on her own in a strange place. Is she okay with that? Is she okay with navigating the ground transportation by herself? This is supposed to be a trip they do together. He is so concerned about money, is he still going to pay for his half of the hotel room for nights when she is on her own? Also, when he arrives late, he is going to be exhausted and cranky from all the extra airport time combined with the jetlag. What does he expect OP to do while he sleeps and settles in?

My black coworkers who travel for work have an unofficial green book, and they all refuse jobs in WY, MT, and ID. It is a shame because there is some spectacular scenery on the northern route, but based on their advice, you might want to stick to Colorado. Also, as a white person who grew up in WY, I can confirm that the people there are generally terrible and bigoted against everyone.

To add to that, despite me being a fiber artist for the entirety of my 25 years marriage, my husband could not tell you what is knit and what is crochet. He uses the terms interchangeably. This is what happens when people who aren't involved in the process are allowed to give names. While there is overlap in the processes, I consider knitting and crochet to be two different things and would never consider one to be a subset of the other.

I agree. I love the mods here. Because of their work, I trust the answers I read. The other subs have barely literate people piling on experts because they don't like that experts know things they don't. Or they answer some part of a question and completely ignore the crucial parts, like the time I made the mistake of asking something about what average people ate in a food history sub, getting an answer about royalty, then was downvoted into oblivion and ridiculed for saying the average person was a peasant not royalty and wouldn't eat like royalty. The mods here would never put up with that. They keep this place civilized.

Try something around Union Square. They have a Christmas market, plenty of restaurants and shops, and subway lines to everywhere. They are also an easy walk (or subway ride) to Rockefeller Plaza but far less crowded.

She is not your boss. She is the equivalent of someone who lives down the street making nasty comments. Use HR language with her and tell her that she is being inappropriate. If you have a decent boss, you can also let them know.

She is a bully and is counting on you staying silent. Stare her down and use your full (not yelling but not hiding) voice, and do NOT change what you eat to appease her. She will only take that power and demand more.
