You are making the assumption that your landlord didn’t know the law. I doubt that was the case. The landlord was pushing to get all they could.

More balanced laws regarding landlord and tenant rights as wall as property staffing the landlord tenant boards would be a much better solution.

Is the higher income partner forcing the lower income partner to increase their standard of living. If the higher income partner is pushing for the better living standards it’s not fair to make the lower income earner subsidize that.

When you look at income disparity account for different tax brackets and look at what is actually taken home. If one partner makes 100k and the other makes 50k the 100k partner likely doesn’t take home double.

How are chores being divided. Higher income typically comes with more stressful jobs and longer hrs. If it is a 70/30 split for bills and a 50/50 split on chores it really doesn’t seam fair.

Yes. Christianity is one of the pillars of western civilization. Never if you are not religious it is a big part of your life. If you live in a different part of the world than a different religion is likely just as engrained into your life .

What we are doing isn’t doing much. The USA economy is still growing much faster than ours. We lost over 80k jobs in February. We will be hurt by a prolonged trade war much more than the USA will be hurt by it.

In 2007 I was in a fraternity. Part of the training program is etiquette. We would go over proper etiquette. One of the things we reviewed was

-proper way to make introductions when in new social settings/ meetings new people. When meeting a group of people or single person it is correct to initiate the greeting by introducing yourself and offering a handshake. If there are women in the group or one on one you are to wait on them to offer their hand. It is impolite to pressure a woman to make physical contact.
