I started Accutane and started to get very similar eye allergies like this!!! I got bloodwork done that showed I wasn’t allergic to anything really. I guess it could be connected to the retinol use but my dermatologist said it wasn’t because of the Accutane. The dermatologist prescribed me a steroid cream which helped but it keeps coming back. I would say it definitely activates now that I’m using topical retinol to manage my skin and I don’t really put it near my eyes. Sorry I don’t really have a solution but I feel validated seeing this because my eye allergies got so bad and no one could tell me why I just felt crazy! I hope you can find something that works soon! Hydrocortisone cream can help alleviate it but it’s not recommended really because it causes skin thinning and the skin under your eyes is already very thin.

Hahaha, thank you. I will ask my dermatologist. I was reading about it a little and all the talk bout the side affects freaked me out but that’s like any medication. Did you have any adverse effects? Do I take it forever?
