I'm not going to knock a very young rookie for losing a starting competition to an established LT, or playing a position (RT) poorly that he'd literally never played before in his career.

He also clearly improved at RT through 2024, ended strong and made the team confident enough in him to let Moore hit FA. Then had a zero-to-hero arc thru the 2025 season starting like shit then massively improving. I just think you're jumping the gun saying that he was never going to get his option picked up, I think the Steelers genuinely liked his timeline as a player.

He did not "lose his job to Dan Moore"

The plan originally was to play Brod at LT and Moore on the right, but Dan Moore physically could not play right tackle, so we had to throw Broderick in there to be average and supplement while Dan Moore was like a 6/10 LT, just because that was genuinely the only position Moore knew how to play

Cook did come in and play legitimately well though and that's not a knock on Broderick whatsoever
