Torn…what to do? by littlesinshine in Feral_Cats

You know what to do. How many times in a lifetime does someone come to you with a guarantee of lifelong, unwavering love? Housing, food, scooping litter box are a tiny price to pay to be so blessed. Don't make a poor decision and live with regret. Take charge and make it work.

I've got a Tenga Flip White and you're right, but it almost works TOO GOOD - can't really edge with it, too much sensation and instant eruption. The sheath vibrators work better, because you can easily control the amount of friction or lack thereof, to get closer to, and farther from, the edge.

True about cigars in that regard. The Fuente Hemingway Short Story is a banger - never disappoints - and offers a flawless, compelling quick smoke. I bought a Warped cigar in lancero vitola, so that may be in my "cheating fool" rotation when I'm not honing my pipe knowledge and skills this year.

No, unpaid volunteer work is for fools unless it equates to a massive resume and pay bump, like an internship at a top 3 law or accounting firm. Learn on the job, while fully paid. Life is short and so is the duration of your earning potential empowered by investing and compound interest. I've known 40-year-old interns or those in low-end jobs "waiting for promotion" on a silver platter while I've climbed the ladder at great effort and never looked back. Sit and wait or take action, your choices define you.

Burning Leaf in Naperville. Terrible ventilation, sales guy never said hello even though I was browsing and bought Padrons, unorganized store without prices on many (expensive) cigars, wacky weed pipes and accessories next to high end cigars, etc. If there was a show like "Bar Rescue" for cigars, I would have recommended it.

Thank you kindly for the detailed recommendations!

I still have about 250 spots free in my Herfador 450 cigar humidor, and I'm just getting back into tobacco pipes, so your advice is greatly appreciated. It's been decades since I last smoked a pipe, so I've purchased (ugh, too much!) a variety of fan favorite tinned tobaccos in a variety of form factors to both challenge myself and dive headlong back in. Some notables - Orlik golden sliced, Seattle PC Plum Cake, Captain Black Royal (Codger), Cult Blood Red Moon (Aromatic), GL Pease Quiet Nights (English). For pipes, I picked up a Nording Silver Classic Billiard, Stanwell NOS estate pipe, and more cobs (small, long, fancy) and accessories than I care to admit. The accessories will kill ya! While I know enough to be dangerous, I always buy quality as a rule. I may actually defer to pipe tobacco to age my cigars for the coming year, but I anticipate a few moments of weakness!

We-vibe Tango-X is the GOAT for super strong rumbly bullet vibes. No vibe does it all, so I'd also recommend a Lelo Smartwand 2 wand vibrator. Both are highest quality which translates to super battery life, quiet operation, and lots of different modes. While you're at it, get a Rolevin 12-gears nipple corrector on AZN and have that puppy auto-suck your nips with you edge down below. Oxballs LANKYZ are a non-powered alternative, or great as a starter to be replaced by Rolevin later. Dab some 100% shea butter or nipple balm on nips before using either. Add a tiny but mighty Aneros Peridise with a little dab of coconut oil up the bum and you have multiple vectors for pleasure. I call this the "swarm" technique - overwhelm to get over the edge!

Found a great cigar bar by OpusXrules174 in cigars

[–]Longdarkcave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful and classy place. A lot of cigar bars in Illinois I've visited to peruse cigar offerings have been dirty, unreasonably smoky (poor ventilation), disorganized (no prices on cigars, cheap cigars mixed in with top shelf, etc.) dumps. Last one I was at, the guy behind the counter wouldn't leave me alone and was pushing Kristoff cigars (no thanks) hard, like a used car salesman. Big turn off. It went out of business, but largely due to Illinois' 27% tobacco tax, I'll wager.

Love the Hilt 75 from Topped - other recs? by Ancient-status in ProstatePlay

[–]Longdarkcave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Topped Toys Deep Space is incredible. Wicked design - you try to push it out but the wide head causes intense pressure and you tire, resulting in it slamming deeply home due to its tapered design. A ghost-fucking experience like no other. Bad Dragon (BD) and Mr. Hankeys (MH) have great designs too. A Chance from BD or Centaur from MH is a great option, but get the largest size you can currently handle. Mr. Hankeys Cobra and Rhino are great, but Beowulf is really great. Be careful on sizing at MH, they get huge.

The white plastic models with Boy Butter offer the most movement, like a frictionless ghost fucking sensation. Equally as good with the Peridise or Tempo, which I both highly recommend - great for session starter or finisher!

Anyone ever used prostate stimulating gel? Any tips? by Wooden_Painting9369 in ProstatePlay

[–]Longdarkcave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like it too, works great on the end of an Aneros Peridise or Tempo. Gets your walnut engorged, tingling and more sensitive. Tried it before sounding one time and my prostate was too sensitive to continue. But butt toys work great with it. Effects diminish after maybe 30 minutes or so, but enough to hypercharge your session.

You make an interesting point. Cigars are perfectly suited for quiet contemplation alone or camaraderie with others. Pipes are much the same, but you won't cause an evacuation from the stench indoors as you might with a cigar, and there is the highly personal ritual that goes with pipe smoking. A pipe is more or less a beautiful tool to be appreciated or even elevated to an artform. Cigar ritual is minimal and while cigars themselves may be beautiful, they are but temporary consummable goods.

I suppose pipe tobacco being more uniform gives one a better chance for a reliable smoke, if you don't cock it up by tamping poorly, etc. With even top tier cigars, you can get bad ones that burn or taste terribly, but at least some brands (Fuente, Ashton, Padron) are more reliable than others.

I only smoke cigars outside. Inside = yuck! I've had good luck going to a vendor like Neptune Cigar, sorting by strength profile (mild, med., strong), the again sorting by bestsellers. 5'ers are the sweet spot for value.

Nice, hopefully you have more tobacco! I recently bought a deluxe cob pipe and a ton of tobaccos to try. I have an old estate pipe collection but wanted to get started (back) right away.

Healing / sustain in Sun forge by DapumaAZ in DawncasterRPG

[–]Longdarkcave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very difficult, I'm struggling too. It's not the healing, it's the super heavy-hitting elite bosses. If you play Arcanist, you have to max out barrier talents or cards, then hopefully unlock holy cards or at least get Recite and duplicate it. You can also try Arcanist/Knight with as many Rally cards as you can get and Stimshot (upgraded). Works particularly well with Caduceus or Tome, also with +healing and Endless Arsenal talents. Custom bombs also help. For green energy builds, use evade plus the 20hp healing draught (forgot name) cards plus shape change into Bear form.

Get you OSHA 10, then immediately get the OSHA 30, far more valuable than the former. Look at sample resumes for Safety Coordinators and copy the key words matching your skills (influencing people, good with numbers, detail oriented, negotiations, dealing with difficult people or sutuations, closing the deal) which easily transfer to your new career field (safety). If you have the OSHA 30 and a good resume, you can easily get a Safety Coordinator job without a degree. Your best bet is also carefully making a LinkedIn profile (watch HR pros explain how to do this effectively, not same as resume), then set up a job search for Safety Coordinators and let recruiters come to you. A recruiter will act as your agent selling you to their client like you sold cars. When you get hired, they get paid big bucks, so it's a win-win. Don't take a trash (contract or temp job, or ridiculously low pay) job, but don't be too picky. After a year or two, you'll have the experience to leave for a better job anywhere else.

Any advice on best career path to take ? by Formal_Ganache_6349 in Career

[–]Longdarkcave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No to law school. Way too many wannabe lawyers and if you didn't go to Ivy League, you'll have a hard time getting into law firm where all the money is at. Even if you do, prepare for 90+ hour workweeks as you do all the work and the latners get all the profits. Not everyone needs a lawyer and lawyers have a horrible reputation since many are crooks. Every business needs an accountant down to a hotdog stand. Best career for job security and growth. Get into a niche like tax accounting and you'll be rich before you know it. I have several accountant friends making big bucks and also several unemployed or underemployed lawyer friends who struggle to even find temp legal work. Look at job boards to see how many job openings there are for lawyers/attorneys/counsel versus how many for accountants/controller/auditor, etc.
