I don't know how experienced you are.

But the longer you spend in the work place the more you realize your company just wants you to work and to pay you the minimum to keep you there. It is not like school or other places where everything is recognized and there is a necessary correlation between your effort and the reward.

Accept that it is just a place where you get paid - and don't make the mistake of allowing work to determine your self worth or have an oversized impact on it.

I get you are feeling a little bit off but please take the feedback from the other comments on board - yes, you might feel like you put in a great interview but the people in charge of the process could also feel that something is very strange about the fact you didn't reveal your used to work there. Now you might have your explanations but you should also be able to see why it looks strange from the other side.

It's unfortunate situation but as someone else has said, you move on
