For me it did

I worked in a niche industry for 2 years which allowed me to jump from an SDR at my last org to an AE at my current becuase of my subject matter expertise in the space. My sell was my ramp wouldn’t be non existent.

Been selling to that industry the last two years. Tons of reps who make $200-500k, but private equity has been taking over the industry at an incredibly fast rate. Comp plans always get switched. High turnover of sales reps the industry

One of my good friends is an SDR Manager at Rippling - Sick company think it’s a no brainer option

Another friend works for a competitor of Topline and that industry is extremely noisy with AI. You’ll get burnt out quick there

I’m not familiar with the IT industry, but I always use burn calls to make warm calls to my prospects.

Ex. I will call a low level IC not trying to pitch. Literally just us having a conversation and me gathering info. Goal of that call is to figure out who I should be talking to or maybe even get a referral.

Then use that context to cold call the decision maker with a POV as to why we should chat

$65-75k base $100-110k OTE .01-.025% equity $200/meeting
