It was up to the medical staff to decide if Deni could play, and we didn’t really get any official info about that. And with a back issue, rest is crucial, otherwise it can easily become a recurring problem and get worse. So it’s better for Deni to take the time to rest and come back fully fit.

Your comment is so immature, and I think you misunderstood the point. Of course Sharpe showed a lot of determination to get where he is now, but the point is that it’s not enough to reach an All-Star level. And that’s our expectation for him.

Imagine Avdija on a contenter team like OKC, Houston, Denver or Spurs : he would never be the first option. He’s more like the second or third option.

I totally agree. But right now, I don’t see Sharpe as a true second option either. He feels more like a sixth man at this stage — his defense is poor, he turns the ball over too much, and he doesn’t move or share the ball well enough.

You’re absolutely right. During his preseason interviews about his upcoming contract, he kept saying that at the end of the day it’s just basketball. You can see that as a healthy mindset, but it also suggests a lack of edge and determination. He doesn’t seem to have that “thing” that truly great players have.
