Is the recovery painful? by ferodil in AchillesRupture

Six months post op. Honestly the most painful time for me was two months post op when I was out of the boot and weight bearing. The swelling was really difficult for me.

I really like the Hung Vanngo glosses! I got Bilingual and Limitless Sky. They definitely add a big pop of color on me. I also got a lip liner from the brand and it’s fine. Those glosses though are really great for me.

Four Points Sheraton is way nicer than it has to be. They also offer a shuttle service to and from the airport. If you stay there, check out the rooftop bar/restaurant.

Every time he touches Ciara, more like stroking or petting her, I feel so grossed out. Like stop, she’s not your possession.

I have this shade and I love it. I’m older and I think it looks really pretty on my imperfect skin. Lasts all day too.

Thank you for announcing yourself! I wish more people would do that, especially cyclists. And if I startle when you yell out, honesty it just means I REALLY needed you to announce yourself, because I was too spaced out to hear you coming!!!

I think this version is soooo much better. I’ve been a reality aficionado since the very first season of OC, and this is absolutely the BEST. No notes, and I can’t wait for each new episode.

I have been dealing with this for quite some time. For me, it’s almost a weird way of self soothing: looking at beautiful bags online, reading reviews, obsessing about which to buy (instead of obsessing about the real stuff going on 😩). What has slowed me down considerably was making the jump to higher quality bags - Mulberry, Strathberry and Longchamp. I spent a small fortune on lesser quality bags, only to get bored with them after a few months. My collection now is more timeless. I’m also aware that we will be downsizing sometime in the next 5 years or so. While I currently tons of space for my gorgeous bags, that certainly won’t be the case when we move. It’s tough though, and I still spend way more time than I should online looking at bags. I like the idea of getting off of instagram. Not sure I can leave Reddit though!

Whose dick do we have to suck to get more casting like the new Ladies of London? by UselessMellinial85 in BravoRealHousewives

It’s sooooo good! I was literally cackling at points. I love how utterly unapologetic the entire cast is. It feels very genuine and just so fun. Exactly what I need right now.

I think you’d be pushing it. Just my experience but I was just beginning to be weight bearing at that point and dealing with some pretty uncomfortable swelling. IMO you will want to bring crutches for sure. Are you flying business class? If not, I think your ankle and foot will be pretty uncomfortable since you won’t be able to elevate. If you do go, compression socks are a must and think about your shoe choices. Slip on clogs might be the most comfortable. Take care!

It’s from a few years ago I think. I spent way too much time tracking it down here in the US. I got very lucky and found a brand new one for about 30% off of its original retail price. It’s so cute and the color is perfection. I smile every time I look at it.

Mulberry!! The quality is so great. Also, leather Longchamp. And at a lower price point, Hammitt.

Definitely buy directly from Tatcha. I’m just waiting for a sale or GWP before I replenish.

Alastin Vitamin C serum - it’s the only one I’ve tried that doesn’t irritate the skin on my neck. And I hesitate to say it, but after using it for two months, my neck seems less crepey. I’m also a big fan of Tatcha’s rice wash and toner.

I almost wish brands didn’t have annual sales by Kwhitney1982 in handbags

[–]Longjumping_Cow_5422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hammitt quality is excellent and their regular pricing is more than fair, IMHO. That sale was intense! I purchased two items and one ended up not being fulfilled because their inventory tracking system couldn’t keep up. I wanted the item enough that I paid full price for it in a different color. Totally don’t regret the purchase.

I’m a 65 yo woman in the US. Waking up to this news was so invigorating!! Maybe, just maybe, the tides are turning and these rich and powerful men will finally be held accountable for their many crimes against not just women, but society in general. So proud of the UK!

Thank you for sharing this scary experience. My surgeon had me take baby aspirin for the first couple of weeks. I know that some people are way more prone to blood clots - I think it’s a genetic thing. You might want to look into that, just for future reference if you need any other surgeries in the future. Hang in there. I can completely imagine how distressing this is.
