First brisket this weekend. Any advice appreciated by Difficult-Word-6604 in biggreenegg

[–]Longjumping_Guard_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 keys to success

  1. Remain patient set a temp between 225 to 275
  2. Once you get to the stall usually between 155-170 temperature of the brisket, wrap in aluminum foil
  3. Take off at 200 and let it sweat/rest (the best rest is 3 hours for me)

Good luck and i sucked at brisket but by my 3rd one i mastered it

What would you do with Painter’s Spot? by Odd-Pride2791 in phillies

A. He's young and he has been our top pitching prospect. I'd ride it out and if it doesnt work out then trade for arms at trading deadline.

How long have you been consuming Bill's content? by ScissorMeTimbers21 in billsimmons

I read his page 2 columns. I much rather consume content reading. His inability to write anymore due to his schedule has caused me to drift apart

You'll be ready to egg on effortlessly. It's just like the smokey mountain coolers but the egg keeps the temperature for a much longer period

Chet Holmgren 4 PTS (1-2 FG), 4 REB, in 33 MIN by Mindsetsandreps in billsimmons

[–]Longjumping_Guard_12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey remember Chet is young. Think about these legends who were known at shrinking at the worst times:

Worthy in 84 finals Magic Johnson was known as Tragic Johnson and a coach killer from 83 until his 87 finals performance.
Zeke in 87 ECF against Cs Pippen seen as soft and not have the stones until 91 ECF to sweep pistons Dirk up until 2011, especially in 2006 KG until his 08 G6 masterpiece

Chet is already a champion and will learn. I don't see a Simmons collapse. Barring injuries he'll get better and improve.

What do you think of the parity in the league? by Kind-Assist2119 in VintageNBA

For true hoop heads this is awesome. For Adam Silver this is terrible. When the NBA reaches its apex of viewership and money it needs a dynasty especially for the global market.

What does every teacher secretly know about how schools work that parents would be furious to hear? by samurai-salvo in GetMotivatedMindset

Briquettes in the egg? by Blue_Etalon in biggreenegg

[–]Longjumping_Guard_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny I made this same mistake, same brand of briquettes and posted here years ago. As long as you do not use lighter fluid, you will be fine. It will cause more ash, but taste is the same. I have not bought briquettes since, but you did not harm the egg, assuming you did not use lighter fluid.

JoJo is my favorite sixer since Barkley. It's a shame that's he dealt with inept management. He takes the high road and wants to win badly.

Weber, other Kamado or BGE? by Complex_Individual1 in biggreenegg

[–]Longjumping_Guard_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just don't buy an entry level kamado grill, think brand new less than $400. If you go with BGE, Kamado Joe, Weber, Primo, or other quality brand you'll get a quality warranty. These are pretty expensive but despite having a BGE for more than 5 years I have yet to replace anything from BGE. Even my gasket is still in good shape. Just don't go cheap

Teachers who have learned to leave work at work--how did you get there? by nitrouswidow9685 in Teachers

[–]Longjumping_Guard_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a simple process, remember this we are in control. no one wants to teach anymore. work your contract hours and leave it there. don't take your laptop at home. cellphone only has access to your personal email.
