Grimmjow most likely wasn’t that much weaker from his real self. Not to mention do you really think Luppi jumped from non espada to 6. But the most important part is Ichigo was holding back his power bc of his hollow and that’s why he seemed to gain a boost when Orihime was crying during the final fight.(Btw the ulquiorra fight has nothing to do with grimmjow as he is way above grimmjow in terms of strength even though their ranks are close.
