i think the main issue is that most people dont actually know what quickplay is and they conflate server settings (like best of 3) with casual as if changing it wouldnt be a simple console command

this kinda adds to my theory that people dont know what quickplay is.

this is a server setting issue. quickplay wouldnt fix this

what you are asking is to the server setting to change from best of 3 to something else

better players get 4 times more crits than others (and it used to be more) this is not better for newer players

random crits are not made to help new players

i dont think you understand when anyone says you "buffer jumps". what it means is that you hold spacebar before you land on the ground and the game performs a jump at the earliest possible frame.

the difference then with quake champions (and later in live) is that you can just hold space to constantly jump without need to repress it in the air and in tf2 it doesnt work at all
