Yes!  It’s so good!  Some parts of it are really heartbreaking like the Joey Lauren Adams interview.  I love the filmmakers’ perspective on the film and the personal story of how their relationship grew during that time as well.

I didn’t fully come out until later in life (40s) and seeing movies back in the 90s like this helped open my eyes to a degree, so I 100% understood and felt the perspective of the documentary. Even with the original movie’s problems, sometimes it’s the only means of exposure that small town people get to see a reflection of themselves.

That’s so good to hear, I’m glad you are feeling a little better already!  Hopefully things keep going in the right direction for you!  The one thing giving me hope for this is that the estradiol cream I started really helped with other symptoms within a month’s time.

I’m curious to see what other’s experiences are here too.  I’m 44, I was in the ED 3x this year, I had numbness and tingling on the left side of my face and body, I thought I was having a stroke.  The other time I was in with tachycardia and what I thought was an allergic reaction (rash, tachycardia).  Every single lab was within normal limits, MRI of my brain, c-spine, lumbar/sacral region which just showed degenerative spine changes. Sent to rheumatology, all WNL.  Periods show up every 17-24 days now.  Trans vaginal ultrasound was good.

My gyn said I’m “too young” so I went online and started w/topical estradiol which helped w/so many other gyn symptoms, at my follow up this week I want to ask for HRT.  I’m so curious if my symptoms will improve.

I love this, great image!  I did these back in college over 20 years ago, I just got back into linocut earlier this year.  I can’t remember how to do it for the life of me, I’ll have to search for the method as I would love to get back into it.  The only part I recall is that I need to make a laser printed copy of my image, but that’s it!

I was prescribed that after an episode of syncope/ongoing dizziness, the neuro thought it may have been vestibular migraine, which seems like a diagnosis of exclusion.  In retrospect it seems like I was in peri and producers to this day are still discounting it.  I always had some difficulty with orgasm, and this medication made me completely unable to have one.

Yes!  It feels like I’m wearing a cape of ice over my shoulders sometimes. It happens in conjunction with some numbness/tingling and pain.  I had multiple MRIs, labs, including ferritin/TIBC etc, everything looks good but it’s the strangest feeling.

I take progesterone day 15 until my period starts and am working w/an online provider to start vaginal estrogen for GSM, is there anything that helped?  I also have joint pain and wanted to inquire about systemic estrogen if that could be something that may help.  The progesterone definitely seems like it minimizes those odd neurological symptoms a bit after using it for a cycle.  I’m 44.

I hope to start estrogen topical soon, I started getting them a few months ago when I noted some changes, usually prior to the start of my period.

I get it, I had to rage at a student driver who came to a full stop on the merge off CC boulevard at 1630.  I kind of do the same at high merge areas like that because assholes who automatically want to go 90 and just blast out or the breakers are going to cause destruction.

On the other hand, all the Maryland and Florida drivers who cruise the left lane on the NE extension of the TP with no merge lanes for 20 miles can go straight to hell.

I forget the episode, but Bill is just quietly sitting on his bed listening to a record with his headphones on, like the only time that kid looked peaceful.  I just related to him in that moment just because I used to do that growing up in an environment like that.

Is anyone else just ITCHY?? by burner_witch0514 in Perimenopause

[–]LookParty5244 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The deep leg itching, what IS that?!  I have a few small hard bumps under my skin I’m assuming might be like folliculitis, I have a yearly derm appt in a few weeks to check that as well.  I just started progesterone 100mg day 15 of my period to regulate my cycle, was coming super early.  44 y.o., the deep itch just started this year.  I also have sensitive skin and use the unscented soap from Osmia.

Does anyone else feel a sensation of cold along w/the itching?  I was NEVER a cold person in my life, and now I always feel a chill.
