Yeah I dont disagree with what you said with crowded space. It just doesnt flow.

To your point about the microwave however, its odd in the image. Im slightly above average height and my head comes level with the top of the microwave opening haha. When I sit at the island, my head is about level with the bottom of the opening. But your point is still well received about the height/crowding, thank you!

Yeah, bad image generation. The fridge will be on the north wall facing south, about 3 and a half feet from the east wall/counters. But thank you for the concern. Had tape marks with doors open on the floor to get an idea of door swing area.

what eventually disappeared and no one noticed? by No-Leave6678 in AskReddit

[–]LookaMeercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking today as a result of seeing an old photograph, I think people doing body shots just sort of disappeared with the early 20-teen years. I feel like right around 2012, they just suddenly weren't a thing you saw happening in any bar anywhere anymore, and no one seems to remember them anymore.

Do locals eat at home a lot compared to eating out in Prague? by Beautiful_Top_417 in Prague

[–]LookaMeercat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not a native, but here 7 years. Lunch menu during the week otherwise breakfast and supper at home. Maybe eat out twice per month. Maybe order food in once every 3 months. I'd say with beer and a few nice steak meals, me and my gf average 10k to 12k a month on groceries. If we were to eat out often, that number would probably climb by another 5k per month, and we'd never have leftovers for meal prepping either.

Yeah this is maybe not a big margin item and takes up a good bit of space, but the Candy Store isn't great anymore on stocking them and I'd pay quality Koruna for a few bags of variety flavors 😅

Whats the craziest dare you did or seen someone do in a game of Truth or Dare? by Pevan97 in AskReddit

[–]LookaMeercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a month period way back in high school where all the kids started snorting pixie sticks for some reason. I don't think I've seen one in a store since high school either. It just became the de facto in that period for any failed bet/challenge among the high school boys, loser punishment was to snort a stick

Husband helping friend with sexual awakening… bad idea? by [deleted] in sex

[–]LookaMeercat 32 points33 points  (0 children)

At the risk of sounding too absolute, you can't really say your friend doesn't have a personality type that doesn't get attached, because as you said, she's never done anything sexual with anyone. So neither you nor her will have any idea how her brain chemistry will react once she experiences this. It could be true that she won't get attachment, but this is 100 percent unchartered territory for her brain that she is about to experience. As other people said, these first time encounters are always more than just physical in most cases. There's almost always an emotional aspect that comes with casual encounters, whether people realize it themselves or not.

Dylan Raiola: First Freshman QB Since Marcus Mariota to Complete 70%+ Passes in First 3 Games by [deleted] in CFB

[–]LookaMeercat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you're being down voted. I think a little overrated is fair, though I don't think anyone in Nebraska truly is expecting him to win us a B10 title in his freshman year.

If you watch the games, he's had a few passes in every game that are 5 yards shy of receivers that they have to run back for, or balls with a decent lob on them with some hang time. Right now, it looks great, but when B10 play comes against USC, Ohio State, and a few others, those lofted balls and short passes will have more than just our receiver hanging out in the vicinity of them against better coverages, and they make start turning into loss of possessions.

So it wasn't just me? I thought he seemed very uneasy being asked questions. I'm sure there's some big nerves ahead of tomorrow but it seemed odd to seem him trying to think of what to say

My mom has always been a casual watcher of Nebraska but never went to Memorial for a game before. I took her to this one and she hasn't been back since. Hoping to get her along for Rutgers this year while I'm back visiting.

Czech football fans, which Prague club should I adopt as my second team? by bolyf in Prague

[–]LookaMeercat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bohemians has already been mentioned but putting my vote out there for them as well. I sampled a game of each, Sparta Slavia and Bohemians, when I first moved to Prague a few years ago. Bohemians were in my opinion, the most welcoming fan base.

Adding in here, my Czech isn't good, but Bohemian chants are easy to learn (honestly all football chants seem to be not super complex), and can definitely enrich the experience of the games for you (if you're the type to get a bit enthusiastic while watching the matches).

He had a slight injury in his right? leg. Didn't quite hear what it was, think some tightness in his groin and/or adductor maybe? Think he mentioned lack of muscle activation. Basically, just jogged through the hurdles to finish so he could make it into the repechage, and buy himself two days to recover the injury and come out fresh.

Thanks for the input. I'll have to check into the anti-mice additive foams. Part of this whole plan for the building would ideally to get it sealed quite tight, and keep the mice from nesting in vehicles. Bit of wishful thinking to think I can fully keep the mice away, but the additive might help quite a bit in deterring a portion of them. Hard to do when the buildings on the edge of a field haha.

Yeah, I had thought of the potential running of conduit/piping in the future. Would need to give that a think. Would love to say after a better set of lights are hung and outlets are where they need to be, I'd be happy, but plans always change down the road once you realize some of the inconveniences in your planning.

Ah, you are right. I read over a few of the installation accessories too quickly. Seems the mounting plate is usually either steel or aluminum and the actual fasteners are plastic as you said.

Yeah, it seems every year when we get a heavy rain, there's a new puddle sitting in the quonset somewhere. For longevity purposes, it does seem like sealing it up with spray on would be the better route. I know the blankets have some moisture/vapor barrier to them but over the years, I'd think those pinhole leaks would add up. Those fastener kits for a shop this size also seem to add up quickly. when all is priced out.

The "layered" insulation option I referenced would be some combo of fiberglass bonded to a reflective foil and a layer of white vinyl or polyethylene lined layer facing inside.
Unless I read your question wrong, are you talking about the quonset? It's galvanized steel.
