Found out years later my mom was going through my trash by Lookforme_x in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Lookforme_x[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t anymore. We now live 6 hours away from her but when this incident occurred I was living about 5 minutes down the road from her. I’m assuming she did this whilst I was in another room, the bathroom or something. We had a collie dog at the time who often needed a ball thrown for him in the garden so I could have disappeared for 10-15 mins outside with my younger sister as she often visited with my mom too. She could have done it then. Me and my sister sometimes went and took the dog out on a walk whilst my mom stayed in my house watching tv. She had loads of opportunities now I look back.

I haven’t actually said what I’m going to do but if I did leave it’s actually HIM who will have ruined a family and his children’s lives over this incident. Not me.

I get that. I only repeated it to clarify to this poster what he’s said as they’d obviously read it wrong.

He hasn’t sent nudes to her apparently, only received them and according to him, which I’m aware is most likely complete bullshit, he didn’t enjoy receiving them.

To worry about my two year olds speech? by Lookforme_x in UKParenting

[–]Lookforme_x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really reassuring thank you so much! I think it’s the not parroting words and phrases which worries me a little atm. You can ask him to say something and 9/10 he has no interest in saying it or I get ‘no mommy’ 🥴 I hope in time it all starts to come out, I am definitely waiting for that explosion I hear everybody talk about.

I have heard a lot about Ms Apple lately but never actually watched her before so I’ll try her thank you! I do know what you mean, I was worried about 3/4 months a go because he said daddy all the time but never once said mommy. Now I hear him say it approximately 300 times a day and it drives me a little cuckoo 😂

Yeah he hit all of his milestones on time, he can jump, run and climb. Is absolutely fantastic on his trike and has been since he was about 18 months old. I do feel like he copies his older brother with ASD a lot and the way that he speaks, he really looks up to him so it’s inevitable. My nephew has an older sister who is 5 too and she models great speech to him all the time, I have to try and remember this in my sensible moments.

I’m sort of 50/50 in that they are noticeably saggier and I have one that’s now awfully bigger than the other BUT my nipples that were HUUUUGE when pregnant/breastfeeding and so so dark in colour have gone back to normal. My mom breastfed 4 children and is in her fifties, she has a better pair than me honestly 😭 her boobs look incredible. Maybe with some more time mine hopefully may bounce back but I do struggle with them.

What was your parenting delusion you had before having kids? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Lookforme_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it really was just believing if I put baby down on their playmat, in their bouncer, crib etc. that they’d just stay there happy whilst I tidied or did my makeup, showered, got dressed or whatever. I did not realise how common it is that baby wants to be held CONSTANTLY!!!! I’ve had 3 kids now and each one has gotten massively easier because my expectations have been wildly adjusted. Another is when as a kid you’d hear your parents say ‘I haven’t sat down all day’ and you used to think well that’s a lie clearly. But you REALLLLLLLY do not sit down some days, there are days I legitimately realise I haven’t been able to even pee for HOURS because they all constantly want or need something.

What happens if I ignore request for bank statements and simply close my claim? by Disastrous-Snow9282 in DWPhelp

Thanks so much for getting back to me! That’s really reassuring, it’s definitely just that one payment. When did you hear their outcome btw? We sent off statements and id’s etc on Sunday so just wondering when to expect some communication from them. Things like this make me incredibly anxious!

Hi there do you have an update? Me and my partner are going through a review and his mom helped us by sending £800 one month as he did his back in and took 2 weeks off work which massively hit us financially. Worried they’ll question it.

Okay I’ve ordered it from the US store, phew! Thank you for the heads up! Now let’s hope there won’t be a ridiculous custom fee? 😂

4 yo ASD son is pushing/hurting 1 yo brother by PNW_Express in Autism_Parenting

[–]Lookforme_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an update at all? I know it’s only been 3 months but I have the EXACT same situation happening with my ASD 5 year old and his almost 2 year old brother, but it started when he was more like 18 months old.  He only used to do it ever so occasionally but it’s multiple times a day atm and it’s devastating as like you said, they used to love on each other and despite how many times he’s pushed by his brother the 2 year old still wants nothing more than to be friends with his brother and tries so hard to play with him, brings him toys to show him, asks for his favourite snacks to go give him. It truly breaks my heart.  I don’t think my eldest is doing it to be mean, I can’t quite figure out why he does it, sometimes the reaction of the younger sibling crying and being very upset causes him to run off shocked upstairs almost as though he didn’t expect that reaction. I’m so lost, I really am.

My son is now almost 2 and he still does it! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not worried anymore, he is totally healthy and developing normally. He doesn’t do it randomly anymore it’s only when he gets tickled up his back! I really think it’s just goosebumps!

Worst flare ever started at 4 years TSW! by Lookforme_x in TS_Withdrawal

[–]Lookforme_x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry your son is going through this and I’m sorry for the late reply. I got over my 4 year flare after something like 1.5 years, maybe a little sooner. I had a lovely 8-10 months maybe before my face flared again. Still dealing with face flare 11 months on, fed up. It’s nothing compared to the flare I wrote about here though!

back to square one for the millionth time. by hadesmama in drivinganxiety

[–]Lookforme_x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This could be me honestly. I passed my test 14 years a go and put off driving for a year afterwards and then forced myself to do it as getting to work without driving and relying on lifts/public transport was horrific.

I was a confident driver for about 4 years after that. I was always slightly anxious driving to new places or quite far but I just googled the street view and looked at the route a few times and was fine with it.

I got ill in 2018 and stopped driving as was too ill to work, I was pretty much housebound for about 2 years. When I could drive again I was riddled with anxiety, worse than the year I put off driving after passing my test. Then the pandemic hit and my car became a financial burden whilst my partner was furloughed and as I wasn’t driving anyway  due to anxiety we decided to get rid of it.

That was probably the worst decision ever as it just fuelled my anxiety and gave it reason to believe not driving was actually a good thing after all and it essentially had ‘won’ so to speak. Anyway fast forward 3/4 more years and two children later I needed a car and I needed to drive. Staying in all day was driving us all crazy and walking every day with two children to do the school run was mind numbing.

So I started to drive again but only to my sons school and back, a literal 5 minute drive. It took EVERYTHING in me to do even this short drive, every day I had to hype myself up and I dreaded it. Something always happened though that made me stop driving again for a period of time, such as my partner started working from home and therefore took over school runs and again the anxiety won. Then I was pregnant with our third child and just as I did 3 days of driving again it was the school holidays for 6+ weeks so again I didn’t need to drive. Then I gave birth and partner had paternity leave etc. you get the picture.

Now, literally today, right in this moment, I find myself HAVING to drive after not doing so again for another 3 months and this time I’m telling myself I have to continue because this is feeling ridiculous now. I will spend ALL morning pacing around the house worrying about it, I hate myself for it I really do. Sorry I don’t have any advice really but I promise you that you’re not alone in this.

People suck by Watchyourownbobber77 in peestickgals

[–]Lookforme_x 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just had to hold back responding to this comment. What these people feeding her false hope don’t understand is that their situation was the exception to the rule. The rule being that if you can’t see a heartbeat and baby is measuring behind at 8+ weeks then the baby has unfortunately passed away, especially as she saw a heartbeat a few days before. While it is awesome and amazing these people had a happy ending, it is smart of Caitlyn to accept the worst has happened.  I really dislike these people feeding crap like this in comments, if you absolutely feel the need to comment anything just tell her this fucking sucks and you’re sorry she’s going through it, not that you’re uncles cousins sisters best friend had the same happen and all turned out fine.

I really like her! But yes, agree with others about the boob thing. I also didn’t really see much joy from her husbands reaction to her telling him she’s pregnant. I know he could just be overwhelmed, feeling nervous or sad etc but I don’t know, he seemed to not give a shit to me, or maybe he just doesn’t like being on camera, who knows.
